Good review, HB. Must admit I've not seen masses of him at Hull, by my one Hull supporting mate is a big fan. I watched a lot of him when he was at Sheff Utd and he learnt a lot from Chris Morgan; tough, no nonsense CB - but with more technical ability than Morgan could've ever dreamed of. He's surprisingly tricky for a big lad. I've seen him bust out a Cruyff turn or 2 on occasions. He'd benefit enormously from having a great defensive team coaching him, add some polish to the desire.

As someone who has probably seen more of Maguire than most on here, he'd be an excellent signing. He's probably the best centre back bar Dawson. Great in the air, loves a tackle and loves a good marauding run forward. He's a bit of a cult hero at Hull, they absolutely love him. I personally, would be very happy to get him.

I know that a lot of people rate him, but he'd be the most frustrating player you've seen if he was here. He misses a bucketload of chances. I don't actually rate him that highly at all. I'd play Rhodes ahead of him every time.

I'd keep Nugent. We are lacking PL experience. It's all good and well signing your Fischer's and Praet's but too many of them and you do a Villa. I'd ditch Nugent immediately. He isn't going to be a top player in a Premiership team. He wasn't a top player in the Championship. He's a hard worker, that's it. I bet someone on here last year that he wouldn't get to 12 goals, he didn't get anywhere near that, and he won't get anywhere near that in the Premiership. This isn't a game, we can't carry people because they're nice people who work hard. He needs moving onto a Championship

I can speak from experience in his time at Hull as i went to a lot of the games. its not that he wasn't good for the, more that Steve Bruce just isn't a very good manager and couldn't get the best out of him at all. He was being played all over the park really. Lots of times out on the left and right flanks. Bruce certainly has issues motivating his players (we've seen that a lot this season in the Championship) and I would say that Gaston is very much a confidence player. Give him the ball and let him be creative and he'll work wonders.

I went to the match last night and Hull were appalling. Bruce set them up so deep and invited pressure on, there was only going to be one team in the game. Derby though, were very very good. Will Hughes ran the show for them, he's a tricky little player. I'd like Wednesday to go up though. All my family/friends are Hull fans and some of them have a right sense of entitlement when it comes to football.

I'd love to see Sheff Weds go up. We need more Northern teams in the Prem :) I think it will be Brighton vs Derby in the final. Hull will bottle it, and someone mentioned before that they hate playing Derby. I'd have wanted Brighton to go up before last weekend. But now.... Wednesday for me.
