Being ill tonight doesn't necessarily dictate he'll be ill tomorrow. I'm sure there are plenty of things that could take him out for one day or they just don't want to run the risk of him playing with. Think you're just thinking to much into it. I tweeted Jonathan Taylor earlier and he confirmed that Chapman was ill. So nothing to worry about at all.

As someone who sees more of Newcastle and Sunderland than I do of Boro these day I'm hoping they stay in the premier league. All three in the top flight is how it should be. Then the bragging rights can be decided. I'm fairly confident Newcastle will be alright. More quality than Sunderland. If the Mackems do stay up it will be through the magic of Big Sam. Nothing more, nothing less. But I hope we will all be in the prem next season.

I'd like to see us go for Charlton's Johann Berg Gudmundsson. They're struggling at the bottom of the league so I'm sure he'd be up for switching relegation fight for promotion challenge. And he shouldn't cost the earth although I'm not sure to be honest. Also has a year and half's experience of the league. Plays predominantly on the right but he's left footed so could play out on the left. But he can also play any of the forward positions. He's who I think we should be looking at anyway.

Albert Adomah walked past me at Darlington station this evening at about 6pm. Anyone have any idea why he would be there so soon after playing an hour earlier?

I can definitely see Downing being interested in a return. Seems like West Ham's new boss wants his own players and the board are willing to back him. Which will probably leave Downing out in the cold. Yes, a premier league side could easily get him. Going off the clips he looks like he would be a very good signing on a free, but on the contrary, I'm not sure about the quality of the league, and anyone can look good on YouTube I don't believe the Polish league is of a very high standard. Don't know what type of striker we are looking for but the ones who have been effective in the championship over recent seasons have been big, tall strong guys. Just noticed Michiel Kramer who plays for ADO Den Haag in Holland scored 17 in eredivisie last season. 6 ft 5 and by the looks of clips on youtube decent pace, a poacher who gets in the box and clearly he has a good eye for goal.

Rather see Bennett or Atkinson given the chance to be honest. I can see the merit in that too. But if we are serious about getting out of this division we need players with experience who can be relied on week after week. Neither of those two have ever started a league game.

I hope we do sign Vrsajevic. More competition at right-back between two experienced professionals. It can't be a bad thing.

Is there not a league for the Football League Fantasy Manager game this season? They're now incorporating the Championship, League 1 and League 2 in one game. As the defending champ I hope it is still going to continue this season...

We like to wait until we get them all in to show them off with their boro shirts. But by that time they've been here a while and it's hardly newsworthy anymore.

Anyone know why we never have pictures of new players wearing or holding up a boro shirt? I mean take the Husband move yesterday. He's a confirmed arrival and no picture of him in a Boro shirt and then Main signs for Doncaster and straight away he's wearing a Donny shirt. I know it's not that important but it does seem strange that other clubs do it for all their signings to make it official and we don't.

I'm certain this is going to be the season Luke Williams comes good because he'll know that if he doesn't he will almost certainly be heading out the exit door next summer. Adam Reach should do well too although I think he doesn't quite have as much to prove as Luke does.
