Thing is, there's absolutely no shame in a lower mid-table finish for a promoted side, it's an achievement in itself.
I'd be buzzing with that as a Leeds fan, it means you've stayed up.
But the media circus around them is unrelenting, despite their results not being particularly noteworthy, as Neverbefore said, they're not even the best promoted side in the last few years. They weren't even the best side in the Championship last season, Brentford were.
Bielsa being nominated for world manager of the year solely on the back of getting Leeds promoted is farcical.
This guy’s admitting to being a Leeds fan....

Pulis is just up to speed with the times; you can be as truthful or misleading as you want as a public figure as long as you say you're being honest.
In the lying ***’s defence he did say “he wants to be committed” not that he will be.

Seems football managers (and chairmen..chairpersons?) are becoming more and more like politicians...
I think many have realised that very few people in the media (particularly interviewers) will call them out when they spout utter sh1te. So they can go from being flexible with the truth to just bare faced lying pretty much unchecked.
That statement is about managers and politicians btw.

just saw this on sky sports, Tony Pulis: "I really want to be totally committed to being truthful and honest";

Fantastic point away from home. Keep the points rolling over till January hope we get 1/2 wide men how can score/assist. Fantastic effort from all the players at least we can be proud of them . Makes a massive difference in to your week looking forward to a game UTB
Will those 1/2 wide men be competing for Roberts’ spot on the bench? 😉

Apparently it was all going ahead until a revelation at four in the afternoon which was a deal blocker. Warnock was annoyed that Bolasie never said anything about it prior, nor his agent to Bausor during the talks until late on.
Bolasie seemed to to think that his agent knew all along what the impasse would be and was dealing with it but it only came up allegedly with less than an hour to the deadline.
We can only guess or speculate if it was an agent's cut that hadn't yet been included, demands on starting, special bonuses, an impending sentence with one of Her Majesty's reform schools or that he had signed up for I'm a Celebrity in Wales and might be missing for a few weeks eating Welsh Rarebit entrails 😁
I thought Welsh rarebit was cheese on toast?

And just like most of the rest of the places you "invented" over the years, that will be gone soon too, all due to that other wonderful English invention - shooting oneself in the foot!
Errrrr what about those lines we arbitrarily drew all over Africa, still going strong. Rule Britannia for the win ⚽️🥅

Just turned on the game now. Is there a reason for England wearing an all blue kit?
New kit every other game to make up for lost revenue

I’m sure the player went off injured for a laugh.
Playing a bit fast and loose with the term stamp. Maguire over ran it, got to the ball but caught (dolberg?) as he came in to nick the ball.
not questioning the decision but calling it “late” or a “stamp” is just incorrect

Stamping on an ankle is always a bookable offense. Kind hide behind just getting to the ball first. Go in with your studs showing and going in on the ankle is going to get you a booking.
Is it a stamp when there’s no stamping involved? 🤔

I’ll admit it was a very soft pen. Never saw it. But that was a straight second yellow for Maguire who came too late and went in on Dolbergs ankle. Just poor defending.
Is it late if he gets the ball first 🤔

Sorry I didn't mean to come across blunt in the first post, I've just re-read it back and it sounds like I'm saying "HOW are you comparing them against Brazil and Germany?".
I don’t believe him @BillyWoofs_shinpad. I think he was being deliberately aggressive. I think you should go round his house and kick his head in.

What time is this meeting?
Is that the question you want Neil to answer or just a question?

Does Neil support the demand for a public enquiry into the inexplicable existence of George Saville?

I'd rather play "crap" football and win ugly than play "good" football and lose to "crap" playing teams.
Why does it always have to be one or the other? Are those the only two courses going at the football manager training camp?

@Mark_MSF Any inkling of how many people have “pledged to renew”? I’ve signed up but wondered what my chances are.
Say 14,000 s/t holders last year
8000ish renewed already.
How many out the remaining 6000 won’t have renewed because; the football has been pants, Covid-fear, loss of job/earnings etc etc?any idea??
EDIT: n/m there’s been 2500 applications. If anyone else was interested; https://www.mfc.co.uk/news/pledge-to-renew-window-now-closed
