  1. If I find anything I'll post a link on here, I'm guessing they don't put them on till later today.
  2. Does anyone know when and where i can watch the highlights?? I thought the BBC had the rights this season but there's nothing on their website yet?
  3. Really enjoying the season so far, however, I will enjoy it a whole lot more if September the 1st arrives and we still have Johnon, Huth, Weater and O'Niel, then my nerves will be eased and i can just look forward to the games... till january anyway!
  4. I would really really like the signature of Adam Johnson on a 5 year contract! Also, I would rather we kept hold of Weater, Huth, O'Niel and Tuncay than bring in any new faces, if we can keep the team we've got then i fancy us to finish in the top 2, if we start selling quality players to bring in the likes of Balde and Hulse then i fear we will pay a much larger price in the long term. you beat me to it there VB!
  5. think we must give danny coyne a pat on the back, granted he has a cracking defence in front of him but he sounds to me to be a very capable GK, and 3 clean sheets is worthy of some praise.
  6. I've just got the radio on my mobile phone on, listening to BBC tees. I've never heard of anything like that before, Johnson takes the penalty, keeper saves it, Johson tries to follow up the rebound but the keeper brings Johnson down and the ref gives another penalty, the players then argue over who is gonna take the 2nd penalty, johnson grabs the ball and refuses to give it up!! Fair play to him!
  7. now we need to put this game to bed and not return to old habits. their two front lads have got goals in them so we need to stay sharp. From what they're saying on the radio it sounds as if the goal is a strong contender for goal of the month, Will look forward to seeing that!
  8. I think he would have a good goals to games ratio for us, but he would hardly ever play, too injury prone and not what we need in this long hard season. Saying that, i reckon he would still score more than Alves even if he was injured all the time. Complete denial from Adam Pearson (Derby chairman) - he reckons there has been no offer from boro at all. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11688_5498396,00.html
  9. I would stick with Emnes and Lita up front, Emnes has done enough to hold on to his place in the team, and we need our two front men to gel as quickly as possible. Tuncay is not going to be sticking around and so shouldn't be given a starting place ahead of someone who is, I would use him as an impact sub tho. I reckon we will run out 0-2 winners tonight with another clean sheet. Also worth noting that Scunny have conceded the most goals in the league so far, I know it's only early days but letting in six goals in 2 games is soft and we should really look to take advantage of that tonight.
  10. Just who is the real ibby?? Tuncay, ibby and the real ibby are all circulating on the forum but which one is the REAL ibby from the EG forum??:-/
  11. Hey Sarge, What exactly did you say to the gazette Mods? One minute you were there, then i read you'd been chucked out! Seemed a bit harsh for someone who'd been on there so long.
  12. I think the 2.5 million is just paper talk, but if it true then i will be fuming. As a premier league manager, i would ask myself "how much would it cost me to bring in an experienced centre back of international quality, who has already proved his worth in the premier league" I reckon most premier league managers would assume a 6 million MINIMUM, and even then i think most would consider that a bargain, therefore, i think we can assume most interested parties would be expecting to pay around that mark, so all Gibson and Lamb have to do is stand strong and put the word out that he will be goi

    Tuncay

I would love to see tuncay stay, and to be honest I think Gibson Lamb and Southgate would also love to see him stay, but I fear it may be out of our hands, i think it is Tuncay himself that has made his mind up, he's in his late 20's now and i think he wants to be playing at the top level, and i can't blame him, i reckon the club have told him that we won't stand in his way when the inevitable offer comes in for him. Don't get your hopes up about seeing Tuncay in a boro shirt after August.
