Have to say we do look a bit lightweight compared to Wednesday. They seem able to muscle us off the ball quite easily. Also as usual, we can get up to their penalty area quite easily but then they stop our attacks stone dead...like we run into a wall or something.

Finally! What a result! A hard earned point that and probably deserved after a much improved second half showing, following a pretty poor first half where Boro's backs were to the wall most of the time. Would have taken this result very happily before kick-off. Even better with a more makeshift side than usual. We found a way to get something from the game. As poor and disjointed as we were for much of the first half, we grew into it 2nd half and played some nice football. Rode our luck a fair bit and can thank some wasteful Saints finishing. Definitely an instinctive finisher rather than a calm, measured placer of the ball.

I'm tempted to say Boro deserved that for all the preceding build-up play. Trying to put some pressure on the Saints goal for a good few minutes...finally paid off.
