It was obvious going into deadline day that we wanted to bring a few players in but for one reason or another that hasn't materialised. I'm hoping that, part of that is because we made the conscious decision to not sign "lesser" players just for the sake of bring numbers in. Quality over quantity. If you look at the window as a whole, as the business we have done already sometimes gets overlooked on deadline day, I think we've had a good solid window. On paper we've increased the quality of player in certain areas compared to last season and in the small sample of games we've seen so far

Just looked into it. The two seasons he took Northampton up from League Two and Sheffield United up from League One kind of fit that. The season he took Sheffield United up from the Championship break that slightly although he did lose the first two games in that season. When he took the Cobblers up from League Two, after 6 games they were on 7 points (2 Wins, 1 Draw and 3 Losses). Then from game 7, they then lost just twice upto to game 46 and amassed 92 points (27 Wins, 11 Draws and 2 Losses). When he took Sheffield up from League One (the season after taking Cobblers up), after 6

I think Bessile would definitely be an upgrade on Bola (in my opinion, despite his relative inexperience). Hancko plays for one of the Prague teams right? I'm sure they beat Rangers last season and I think he scored in one of the games against them, he looked very good from memory, think he was playing left back.

Apologies it's a bit late, but Teuma is an interesting link. Seems to play most his football on the left of a midfield 3, in Tav's old spot. Wonder if, he did actually come in, we'd see him and Crooks either side of Mowatt. Would leave us Howson and McGree as alternatives from the bench. With the Teuma link, it could indicate we're looking at the Belgium leagues. I wonder if we are watching Loic Bessile at Sporting Charleroi. They play a similar formation to us, and Bessile has played on the left of their back 3 for about half a season since signing from Bordeaux last summer. He's only 23

With the first point, we could do what we did with Bamford (when we sold him to Leeds) and borrow immediate cash on the future installments. Would cost us to do so mind. If we don't then do that it (they tend to be disclosed on Companies House) potentially leaves two options as to why we haven't done that. First, is that the deals for Spence and Tav were lower than we first thought as you say. Or secondly it could actually be for FFP purposes, maybe we are genuinely on the limit and can't "pay out" that amount in this year, as instalments for players sold are included as 1 figure in

Cheers bud!

They did look good, looked a threat in nearly every counter attack. Sheffield United looked like they could get at with pace. But they looked pretty solid other than that though. Berge looked a real cut above in midfield.

The game has been summed up already, but I thought the first half we looked very good (barring the initial first 5). Thought the atmosphere was pretty good too. -
@wilsoncgpI've seen a lot questions regarding the links between the Men and Women's team over twitter, so may as well ask a few questions. Wondering if we could get confirmation as to what the link between the two is? And if there is a link, is it going to be increased/tapped into more, since the success of the Lionesses? I have seen that the Lionesses have used the facilities up here in the past, as well as playing here too. Given that, is there scope for us to bring the Women's team into that fold also.
