  1. I'd not worry too much about Becchio and Ayala being in te squad list. It might just mean that if we do get them, they'll have a recall clause in the deal. Naming them in the squads means they could still play if recalled. Wouldn't be ideal for us, but still think they'd both be worth a shout.
  2. Bolton V Leeds - DRAW Bournemouth V Blackpool - AWAY Huddersfield V Doncaster - HOME Ipswich V Middlesbrough (boro scorer) - DRAW (Kamara) Leicester V Wigan - DRAW Millwall V Derby - AWAY Nottm Forest V Barnsley - HOME QPR V Birmingham - HOME Sheff Wed V Yeovil - HOME Watford V Charlton - HOME
  3. Good thinking buddy. Keeps the drama off the forum pages and prevents more long, confusing and angry derailments from happening. Might be able to attend the funeral at 5pm, too... Will have to dust off my suit ;)
  4. Ah! Sorry DS. My link just automatically brings me to this thread! Didn't see the others :)
  5. I'm wondering if the Butterfield signing means we might see Varga utilised more as a RB; competeing with Richardson for the jersey? Whitehead - Butterfield - Leadbitter accross the middle of the park?
  6. He's fit, athletic and good in the air... He sounds like a good player to be able to call upon.
  7. Our midfielders are insanely immense... Butterfield, Leadbitter, Varga and Whitehead... Wow! Wiith AA and Muzzy out wide, and the added option of Emnes or KK operating around The Juke? Our attacking threat is sorted... I've got my fingers crossed for a Craig Dawson loan... Imagine. :D P.S. I'm also happy that it shows that SW from the Echo hasn't got a clue... He said KK would be our only signing... WRONG! :D
  8. It's on the Official Boro site James... I'll take that :D
  9. Mladen Petric or Sylvain Ebanks-Blake. There's two good strikers we could try and convince to come here before January.
  10. Looked through your posts but can't find them. Who were they, out of interest?
  11. The reality is, we've targetted players. Our targets haven't been available at this time. Rather than compromise and sign filler signings as we have in the past - like Zemmama, Haroun, Arca, Parnaby etc - we've decided it's best to wait and see who/what becomes available for short terms loans, who's still up on the Free Agents list and/or who it becomes evident is available in January. This is the best way. Why? Because we still have cash to spend come January, and room in the wage bill for Free Agents. We're in a far better situation than if we'd just thrown our money at the next player that
  12. Howay lads... If we've brough in Kei Kamara and add the likes of Becchio and Ayala on loan, we'll have a more than solid enough squad to compete until January: GK - Steele / Leutwiler RB - Richardson / Hoyte? / Parnaby CB - Williams / Ayala CB - Woody / Hines / Gibson LB - Friend / Halliday CM - Varga / Haroun? CM - Leadbitter / Smallwood CM - Whitehead / Morris RW - Adomah / Emnes ST - Juke / Becchio LW - Carayol / Kamara Good enough for me. Plus with the extra youngsters like Main, Williams, Reach, Dolan, Burgess, Brobbel etc on loans likely with recalls, they can all d
  13. Verbose showed his buns in te Binns window when we beat United... Not sure what he'd be showing if we net Vossen! Not sure I want to know o be honest... :p
  14. Kudos to Linjo! Getting a +1 from me for his commitment to this thread ;)
  15. The one thing you can say for Kei Kamara is that he's a decent player who can cover both wings and the striker positions. At £1.5m, that's an large expense for that role, though...
  16. Sessegnon in talks with WBA... Could that free up Chris Brunt? ;)
  17. Dawson is a top qulaity target. Ayal decent. If we get Dawson, i'd be over the moon. Ayala - i'd be content just to have another number.
  18. David N'Gog is one of the 5 on Swansea's list... Means there's still one space...
  19. Not for me, personally. If we still get in players like Becchio, Butterfield and Ayala on loans when the 'emergency' loan window re-opens, we'd have a good squad till January and an option to extend / buy when the full window re-opens in the New Year.
  20. God I hope you're wrong #07... Kei Kamara - I'd take as a back-up striker, not as a starter. But at £1.5m, he'd be an expensive third/fourth option...
  21. Judging from our history of injuries to players, i'd guess it's the Green Zone in Basra... That's our standard training area, medicals done at St Lukes Surely not... If the Basra Green Zone was our training area, we'd be far more agile and fast on our feet!! :P Last time I remember there being a deadline SSN haunting at Boro was the Gary O'Neil transfer... I was overjoyed when we signed him... Hindsight is a wonderful thing :dodgy:
