  1. Let’s see what lotto machine numbers come out for todays lineup. First time this season I’ve been completely unbothered about a game.
  2. I’ve never seen a boro team so vulnerable and weak on the transition after losing the ball under Carrick. This goes to last season as well. It’s extremely worrying that he seems so incapable of putting a team out that’s defensively somewhat structured. I think the last few months have very much warranted people to question Carrick. Apart from a run of 7 games, our form and performances have been so disappointing. Just got to get a few points together now to make sure we don’t end the season looking over our shoulder. Feel for the fans like myself who now have to go to games with ab
  3. Pretty sure they’ve travelled in great numbers all season. Strong effort considering the distance they have to go for most games
  4. Why do my twitter links never embed themselves anymore 😤
  5. Thought Azaz was poor the first few games but against Preston and Leicester he’s impressed my a lot. Nice touch and you can tell he has quality on the ball, especially in tight areas. Probably not a coincidence he’s improved with the return of McGree to the starting line up
  6. We are playing catch up now, so we need to follow it up with a win against Plymouth or the hard work done today counts for little. That’s two good performances in a row now. Hopefully we can go on a run although it looks like once again we’ve been doomed by injuries with Howson and Hackney out.
  7. Think the last 5 minutes there is what’s to come for the next 45. Gonna be a tense watch.
  8. Maybe Jones is just absolutely awful and is still worse then a semi fit Dieng
  9. We’d have scored then just conceded 2 minutes later.
  10. At least Azaz looks a good player to have for next season. Can’t see McGree being here though. Prem clubs should be looking at him and I can’t see him costing loads.
  11. One clean sheet away from home all season 😬
  12. Shock horror. Our defence costs us points again 💤
  13. Lots did happen but the original cross and break away comes from the poor pass so he does warrant a fair bit of the blame imo. I don’t even know what he did, from memory he seemed to just pass it out first time when he didn’t have too and got a bad connection. Just another soft *** poor goal to concede where the opposition doesn’t even have to try and boom they’re one up
  14. Dunno it looks pretty bad from what I can see on TV. Also extremely wet and greasy.
  15. Yeah poor from Howson, but for me most blame goes on Rav. Passes it straight to them under little to no pressure. Thomas is way out of position because of this but its pretty much a whole different phase after they crossed it tbf so meh
  16. Pitch is awful. Extremely risky playing out the back tonight imo
  17. When Dijksteel plays to his best ability for a full 90 he’s by far the best right back imo. Fact is though he’s inconsistent and struggles to put in good performances one after another. He’s also always injured which probably doesn’t help at all.
  18. In which case why do we have a keeper who’s not 100% on the bench. It’s not like an outfield player where you might be in the situation where you can give them a run out for 15/20min to get the up to speed. Bizarre
  19. I definitely think there’s a player in Silvera. He’s technically very sound and has very quick feet. Scored some decent goals as well. Could be one we see become more consistent next season
  20. It McGree doesn’t start tonight I think it’s fair too assume somethings went on behind the scenes, probably something which goes back to the beginning of the season when he couldn’t get a start when we were awful. Obviously if he does start then hopefully all is well.
  21. Only Premier League Aston Villa have stopped Middlesbrough from scoring since Boxing Day, including the two outings against Chelsea in the EFL Cup. (9 matches). I have been saying all along that our defence will be what ultimately cost us. Not our attack/lack of striker.
  22. Crooks leaving message on the website. When first joining, I remember saying ‘it’s Middlesbrough’, and I haven’t been disappointed, what a club. Only six months ago, I described this place as home and that it will remain. But life is short and we only get one go at it, and to have the chance to experience football and life in another country with my family was one I was keen to take up. From the very first game, playing as a tricky right-winger at Fulham away, right up to Chelsea in a domestic semi-final, I gave it my all. Under each manager came different challenges
  23. Crooks managed better than a G/A contribution every two games during his time here. Extremely impressive given most of them games will have been from midfield.
  24. Nope unfortunately not. Far from the majority of fans, but you could definitely hear it from more than a few. As you say, embarrassing
