  1. Exactly - in actual fact Bradford beat us 3 times that year, twice in the league and also in the play off first leg The only win we had was when it mattered, 2-0 in the second leg of the play offs
  2. Not sure if posted already, but tickets are now on sale for all of our home games The Coventry tickets were originally listed as going on sale on 10th April but actually went on sale yesterday Thought worth mentioning, if we're in with a chance of automatic going into the last game you can guarantee there'll be hundreds of messages asking for spares when people could just log on now and get tickets easily!
  3. The Riis thing is a funny one If I'm being optimistic, we've walked away because we've got Larsen sorted However, I think in reality, we've probably got to the end of our top striker targets and will instead now focus our energy/money on midfield, which as others have said may be no bad thing
  4. Maybe he said they were all but done last week to put pressure on Baser and Scott to push harder on them Would tie in with his comments that he is constantly chasing them and pushing to get signings done
  5. @Smogzilla thanks - a combination of where I used to live when I first registered for this forum (Sutton Coldfield) and my love of Karl Pilkington
  6. Re. Spence, the club should be telling him he is expected back for preseason training along with the other international players like Paddy (next week I think?) Hopefully that would help focus his mind and get him pushing for a quick move Appreciate in reality we don't want him back and disrupting the squad, but don't think it would come to that, and if it did we could get him to train on his own
  7. Easy solution - if you don't like it, don't read it
  8. Not sure what to believe, but he "personal issue" story would seem to tie in with the fact that AK hasn't taken training since the Rotherham game. Despite all the rumours, that's something that nobody seems able to explain at the moment
  9. MK Dons box office confirmed that you can pay on the day when I called them yesterday
  10. For anyone thinking about going to Mk Dons.... I got a bit worried about Mk Dons tickets selling out as I'll need to make a late decision on whether I can go, but phoned the Mk Dons box office and they said that there should be plenty of tickets available and that Boro fans can pay on the day
  11. On holiday in Mexico, so got up at 5am to book my ticket, expected it to take ages, but all done and dusted in 5 mins. Just got to book train from Brum to London and I'm all set. Can't wait!
  12. Good luck to Richie, hope he does well at RUFC Always gave everything for Boro and never let us down, and a proper Boro fan as well Think he'll be a solid championship CM, but no higher
  13. Ulloa? This guy? I'll take Danny Graham instead i think
  14. For me Whitehead was the sort of player you always see playing against us - always there to mop things up and calm it down Was really impressed with Varga - I think he'll get better as he learns English (or the Teesside equivalent) and plays more, could be a big player for us this year A solid debut from Richardson - he gives us a bit more presence when defending set pieces and looks assured on the ball All in all' perfect away performance!
  15. Just got this txt off my Bristol City supporting mate "Pleased that Albert has gone to a decent club rather than a bunch of spivs like Palace. Don't get too annoyed by the lack of end product." Welcome to Boro Albert, you'll it right in
