either of Vaz Te or Becchio and I'd be absolutely delighted. Becchio obviously has more the proven record in this league due to playing more seasons here, but Vaz Te did really well in his only season here and has something Becchio doesn't have - pace.
Both top class strikers for this division though, and if we get either of them, we'll have done very, very well. Becchio the most likely though due to him constantly being linked.

after having a little moan on here last night I need to take it back. Think I was a bit carried away with the number of names linked etc and to only be seemingly getting one player yesterday was a bit of a let down. Had a sleep on it though and our transfer dealings this window have been top class. Just looking at the dross we got rid of and the signings we've made - we've replaced quantity with a lot of quality. I think captain5 has summed up our new signings perfectly.
very happy with yesterdays business now looking at it. Think Kamara could be the perfect awkward handful of a player that will do the business for us. From his YouTube videos of him in the MLS and playing for Norwich he looks a huge unit, tall, strong with a little bit of pace. Ideal that he can play as a striker or a bit wider as it gives us a lot of options. Think he will score goals for us, but create a lot of opportunities for others.
I said yesterday I hadn't seen much of Butterfield, but his signing was a really nice surprise. He's had rave reviews in the past and according to everybody who seen him for Barnsley he looked like he could be the real deal. Hasn't worked out Norwich for whatever reason but that happens with players. I think another loan for him might have been a bit annoying on his part, still not knowing his certain future etc, but to give him a 3 year contract, with the option of an extra year, is fantastic for both him and us. Hopefully he will feel instantly settled with that security and can turn it on again. Perfect age at 23, that if he did go on to become top class, he could grow with us into hopefully a good Premiership player, or we can recoup a decent fee for him.
Hopefully VBs info is correct. Ayala and Becchio would be the absolute icing on the cake for me. Young, solid defensive cover and a proven goalscorer.
We could be in for an excellent season. Well done to absolutely everybody at MFC who's worked their ***s off on these signings all summer.

I'm always hugely positive and optimistic about Boro, but if things stay as they are and we only get Kamara in then this last part of the window has been such a let down. Been linked with a lot of decent players and also players such as Hoyte and Haroun are still here despite the club clearly not wanting them.
But at the end of the day we signed 5 quality players
Yes I know. Yet we still need more to give ourselves a fighting chance.

Relying on loans is sheer incompetence. Maximum of 93 days only, and is there a limit to how many emergency loans you can have?

Is there enough time for all of this to happen and would Boro allow a signing without medical as surely he would not pass due to current injury?
was reading an article on BBC Football by Kevin Kilbane who was talking about deadline day deals, and timing of medicals etc. He said he was once signed on the back of the buying club just looking through all his medical records, and he said it's quite common for this to happen when deadlines are so tight.
or we could just get him to hop on every part of his medical.

It is true there has been contact but a deal is way off had 2 bids rejected, I'm hearing deal probably won't happen.
