Amount of contradicting info on this transfer is absolutely ridiculous. Literally must be around 8/9 different journos/sources etc all saying completely different things. I would definitely go back in with another bid for Ross. Obviously I don't have a clue about what our financial situation is like now, but Ross McCormack is definitely worth more than £1.5m. I would try and push the boat out for him that little bit further - he's the best 'realistic' signing we could make this window imo. Proven quality player at this level, can play as a main striker, just off the striker, attacking midfield or on both wings and be a really good player in every position. Leutwiler just doesn't have the same 'presence' as Steeley does imo, which creates a bit of unstability as obviously the defence isn't as confident in him and the crowd aren't either. Massively rate Steele and it's been great to see his development over the past couple of years. He talks to his defence more than ever now and they listen to him.
