  1. 11th Apr 1978 Middlesbrough v Coventry City 1-1 Spike scored for us but my over riding memory of the day was the "SH*TE" brown Coventry away kit. Goal Keeper - David Brown Right-back - John Craggs Defender - Tony McAndrew Centre back - Stuart Boam Central defende - rAlan Ramage Left back - Ian Bailey Midfielder - David Armstrong Midfielder - Stan Cummins Midfielder - John Mahoney Midfielder/Forward - Craig Johnston Forward - Dave Shearer
  2. Watford v Middlesbrough, 27 March 1970 Score 3-2 to Middlesbrough Competition League Division Two Attendance 22,486 Eric McMordie John Hickton John Hickton
  3. Nice to see Fletcher and Ass hunting together, not giving the centre halves a easy time
  4. We look ***e. Just realised Lennie Lawrence is part of the Newport coaching staff sat on the bench
  5. I think we had to wait till Agnew left before we could sack Monk otherwise Agnew was back in charge as he has something over Gibson
  6. Just watched the behind the scenes footage from the Blades game, didn't realise just how tall a team we are (except Forshaw), Bamford for one seems a foot taller than when he was here last
  7. Team just announced 4-4-2 GK - Guzan RB -Hoyte CB - Hines CB - Bikey LB - Haas RW - Kink CM - Thomson CM - Zemmama LW - Hammill CF - Boyd CF - Kamara
  8. To be fair we robbed them blind over Brad Jones so we might have called it even True But I still haven't forgiven them for buying Souness, Hodgson and Skippy off us!!!!
  9. I just hope that if we sell him to Liverpool we remember they still owe us £2.5 million for stealing Christian Ziege off us in 2000 so what ever price they offer we need to ask for an extra to cover that plus interest  I'm sure Steve Gibson said after the incident he would never do business with Liverpool again
  10. I have also done a little maths and have calculated that if Boro Badger continues to the end of the season then we will be champions with 97 points, the icing on the cake would be Brighton to go up as second and both Hull and Burnley to lose in the play off's with Sheffield Wednesday to come up, oh and Newcastle and Blunderland to be relegated.
  11. Welcome to the forum SDS (will take a while to get used to that) where are you based and do you get to games at all? Thanks Downsouth.. I'm based in Gloucester but I think I have done 14 games this season so it's all good yet a game 30mins down road I couldn't get a ticket for... Typical. I think it's a good opinionated forum so far... Bit disappointed with Victor but then again after breaking into Benficas 1st team I can imagine him being told he would only be a squad player made the decision for him... Fair enough lad wants to play... We move on! Safe to say our network of scouts is starting to find gems.... Hopefully more to come and slowly integrate our youngsters and it's safe to say we are looking positive as a club moving forward. Welcome SDS that makes aleast two of us in Gloucester Nice.. Where abouts mate? I'm over in Longford, driving a Black Punto with a Boro badge in the back window

  14. This signing covers several areas we fell down in last season he brings a fresh quality to our creative play in midfield, other than Tomlin on his day we lacked a creative influence in Midfield, Stewie has never been a prolific goal scorer 50 goals in 485 appearance (Wiki), but given the chances that fell to Vossen playing in the number 10 role last season i believe Stewie would have had a better conversion rate. Stewie can play right across the front line, so it gives us options, in swapping players round during a game. He also take set pieces, so Leadboots can stay away from corners !!!!!!, Ayala is a man mountain in the air and with the correct delivery could easily end up scoring a lot of important goals. He could also take Reach under his wing help in his development.
