  1. I'm intrigued that Carrick didn't go ahead with replacing Smith with Dijksteel yesterday. Was clearly the right thing to do. And it's pretty obvious now it's a targeted weak spot. I wonder if anything will change for Norwich.
  2. I think if you hadn't scored from an offside goal the game might have been different. Last night was one where it felt the officials had the word in their ear. We had games like that we went up. It happens. I hope you are professional against Sheff Utd just to keep things interesting. You are a good team but you had luck to beat us, which bodes well for us. Enjoy next season - be interesting to see if Kompany gets poached.
  3. The booing was definitely for the ref and the linesman.
  4. I reckon more likely a Sheff Utd player. One they signed for stupid money in the premiership.
  5. I don't get the hatred. There's loads of posts on there at the moment about the different teams we are up against, how things might pan out, how people are feeling. Its much busier than on here day to day, with a lot of debate. Surely the world is big enough for 2 Boro forums it's not Golf where you can only be part of one club.
  6. I'm a bit concerned Carrick sees last Saturday as a 15 minute blip. The goals were pretty much identical to how most teams get as us. If we don't have the ball and a team can get the ball wide to someone with pace we are very vulnerable. Burnley did it to us at their place. Huddersfield have just done it, Swansea managed it for a bit. Others have done too. I hope in training he is being a bit more realistic about our weaknesses than he is in public. Otherwise the players who were so bad last week will think they have nothing to worry about. Surely Fry is back in for this. I think the
  7. Carrick gets most things right. However playing McNair over Fry is wrong. And not having Dijksteel on the bench is bonkers. When Smith is getting tortured why wouldn't you have a natural replacement on the bench?
  8. His manager even says he's grown off the pitch. So I thinking moving was correct. He looked good against us. He bullied Chuba and Akpom got really cross with him. If he's matured I wouldn't be averse to him coming back.
  9. It's a good idea I think. Burnley and Coventry will sell out I think. If Easter goes well Norwich will see out for Boro fans.
  10. There is a possibility though. They are struggling to pay bills and are not paying suppliers so they can pay the players. How long they can carry on like that is the key. If a number of supplier get fed up they could have to face them in court. So it's not cut and dried. And the Thursday deadline only applies to teams facing relegation. So they have to survive until the last game of the season. So it could happen, even if it is unlikely.
  11. I think they will end up with 2k new ones by the end of Early bird. More if we are 2nd by then.
  12. The more I think about this game, the more I think we need some changes. I know Carrick won't change this much but I would like to see Fry for McNair Dijksteel for Smith Forss for Ramsey If Crooks not fit and not on bench then Muniz on bench in place of Mowatt.
  13. Can they trial having non alcohol serving areas or mobile stalls in the concourse? Lots of clubs have soft drink and food serving areas.
  14. It sounds like their auditors refused to sign their accounts off so they sacked them. Now new auditors and no official FFP submission. Sounds dodgy as hell to me. I suspect everything will come out too late and any punishment will be moot as they will be in the Premier League.
  15. The rules should change so that if you are under investigation you get a huge points deduction. Otherwise they just get away with it and take the premier League money to pay their debts. There needs to be prevention. Burnley are going to submit their accounts next month which will be too late for a points deduction this season. I hope Gibson is on the phone to his lawyers about both Sheff Utd and Burnley cheating the system. I don't care if every club in the league hates us. It's not right that we play by the rules and others try to cheat their way to promotion.
  16. Really want Sunderland to get confidence back and give Sheff Utd a good game on Wednesday. They look good so far. And I'm loving the gap between us and 7th.
  17. On other thing from yesterday - Nathan Wood. I thought he looked very good. I wonder if he's grown up a bit if we would consider buying him back. I bet he would cost a few bob.
  18. So impressed that Carrick was talking about training tomorrow after the match. My take after a long 2 days and now in my 2nd Premier Inn of the weekend. Paddy still looks nervous in the middle. Strange as the ball playing one he makes me really nervous. But he did get better. Our overall play is fantastic from back to front. Ramsey and Archer are such good signings. Riley McGree is so good. He basically forced their defender to foul him. Just slowed the game down and said come and get me. The layout of our fans today made the atmosphere weird. Why us in the lower
  19. I do worry that we treated him so badly in the summer he might not be inclined to sign a new deal with us. I wouldn't blame him to be fair
  20. It's nice to have a manager other clubs would want. But I really don't see him leaving before this season ends. And if we go up, why would he? I'm not sure any premier League clubs will sack their managers now. It's very late to have any real impact.
  21. I would reckon another 27500 crowd. Due to the segregation we are going to struggle to get more than that if the away team only bring 500 or so.
  22. Officially he is a Luton fan but everyone knows he and all his family are Bournemouth fans. There are numerous web pages and twitter threads dedicated to his obvious attempts to favour them over the years. If you are bored just Google his name and Bournemouth.
  23. I bet Sheff Utd complain about Blackburn having a day extra to prepare. Both of them still being in the cup is interesting. Lots of distraction for the players.
  24. In my opinion yesterday was down to one thing. If Dael Fry is there instead of McNair Dike doesn't get those chances. McNair looked completely lost in the first half. He could have been pulled after 10 to be fair. I really hope he's ok and I'm gobsmacked no action was taken against Dike for breaking his nose. Everything that happened after those 10 minutes was a poorer team defending for their lives and breaking. I would have got Jones, Ramsey, Fry, Barlaser and Crooks on for McGree, Forss, McNair, Hackney and Archer very early on if not at half time for some of them. Our
