So it's all gone quiet today on Rogers - no more leaks, no more anything which for a story like this is unusual. My guess is an agreement has been reached and will be concluded on Wednesday.

Apparently Dijksteel should be fit so I would go:
Glover
VDB Fry Clarke
Dijk Barlaser Howson Hackney Engel
Crooks Coburn
I would have started Forss has he not played practically a gill game today but don't want to risk him getting another bad injury
I would start Forss with Coburn I think. Pace and brawn alongside each other.

So I'm guessing some on here believe this 3rd bid has been accepted? Shame for the lad everyone was so down at the end. He's created a good relationship with the fans. Wish him well and look to invest the money over the next couple of weeks

I imagine that's close to what we want. But no way we do a deal before Tuesday night.
-
Makes for an exciting evening and probs an exciting week or two. He needs to play on Saturday to prove he's a professional. And then rip Chelsea apart. Then he can go for £20m.
-
Hopefully one of the journalists can get some idea from Carrick whether we are working on any specific deals at the press conference today for Rotherham.

I'm not sure whether you're serious here, or if you're actually saying that Forss is a better striker than Silva is a defender🤔
It's the pace thing purely. Get our balls over the top right and we will be in. We did it last Tuesday but only managed once before Lath got injured. Will see the same again I think.

No new links for a few days now. So hard these days to work out if Boro are going to sign someone soon.
It would be fascinating if we signed one of Diallo or Ramsey so Forss could go to front. It could be one of those happy accidents that just works. Forss Vs Thiago Silva next Tuesday should only have one winner.
If we signed Diallo, has he played in the cup this season? Would be hilarious if he could play.
Edit - he hadn't played at all until the other day. So signing him makes sense - he could play in the cup. Bring him in.
-
It might just be that we have irons in the fire in case something happens with one of our players - so we are being kept in the loop on Archer and Diallo in case say McGree or Greenwood leave or perhaps someone makes a cheeky bid for Crooks for example. It's interesting I've never seen anyone seriously linked with Jones. A bit surprising as when you see our highlights he's generally always involved. He's not perfect but to a degree he is hugely important to our success.

Apparently some of our business (potential incoming) will go right to the end of the window. Possibly 1 in before then, but it appears we are working hard on a several fronts. Preference is for permanents but possibly 1 more loan.
I would think a striker will be the one to go to the wire. Always the hardest to get done. It would be fascinating to know who is on Scott's list. We keep things so quiet, which I think must say a lot about the respect people have for us - our deals don't seem to get leaked until they are basically completed - even Footy Insider seems to play catch up on our deals these days.

I don't buy Carrick's line that we are going to wait a week or 2 to see if Coburn or Lath are out for a while. I expect them to be really pushing this week to get a striker in. We need more that 2 on the books.
We have a huge 10 days with Rotherham and Chelsea. What an opportunity to really set ourselves up for a fantastic season run in.

That 2nd half was one of the most assured performances I've seen. Once we ran Tuesday out of our legs we bosses it. Howson is so key - once he clicks everything works. Hackney will pick that role up.
Ayling got better and better, as did Fry and RVDB.
Really enjoyed my day out.

Personally I'd like to see one of the young lads who actually play cf given a go. We know a Greenwood or Crooks doesn't work, who knows, we might end up with a Hackney situation. Carrick doesn't seem particularly keen to use the youngsters though despite his press conferences saying otherwise. Apart from 5 minute stints at the end of games has Carrick really blooded any of our young lads?
I think if Finch was fit he'd be closer to playing. I'm not sure Kavanagh is quite there yet.

Just watched the replay on Sky. Anyone able to tap into Bausor's watch and see which transfer he was getting an update on at the end of the game?
-
I really, really, really hope Scott, Gibson and Bauser can find and fund a striker before the 2nd leg. Someone not cup tied like we did Marco Branca. It really could make the difference in the cup and in the league. Josh is dead on his legs. Lath is clearly going to struggle for a bit. There must be someone on the list who is worth a gamble.
Hopefully the gate receipts from last night and Saturday give us a bit of unexpected wriggle room for taking what is a gamble, but hopefully one deemed to be worthwhile.

Fry in for Clarke. Howson and Crooks for Greenwood and Rogers.
Assume you've heard that? Other than Fry makes sense. Thought Clarks was excellent on Saturday.

You'll start another nonsense rumour with that.
I doubt Dieng will be fit in the next week or so, or he'd still be with Senegal.
I know, I guess it was a kit man error, but did get me thinking for a minute. Especially with Dieng being away and then seemingly pulling out of the squad for AFCON. 2+2 = transfer mayhem.
-
So I'm not expecting any signing news until after the Chelsea game now. Drury didn't even ask on Saturday night, making me think nothing doing at the moment.
It would be good to have another RB/RWB in for Millwall as at the moment Jones has to play pretty much every minute of every game. Given all the links you would think something will land this week.
Then I think only cover for Lath and Coburn will be on the agenda.
I don't see much movement out, only Paddy likely and depends on his fitness I guess.
Very interesting to see if Dieng is back early who plays in goal. I did notice on Saturday Glover 'accidentally' had a No 1 jersey on and had to change to his No 23. Surely Dieng isn't leaving is he?

There kind of my point. Previous bids we heard straight away rejected. This one, nothing. Makes me think things are progressing.
Be interesting to see if Rogers has picked a knock up and doubtful for Chelsea. That would be an answer if sorts.
