It was noticeable at the end of last season how slow Fry is. We could do with someone more mobile there.
It will now be Wheater, Gibson and Fry that have gone to make up for cock ups elsewhere. A real shame as they all seem to have wanted to stay.

We cannot slag the club for over spending and that slag them for going out of budget.
We are where we are. Money will be allocated for different positions. I really hope we get Gibson as that will trump all other centre half signings in our league.

The fact Vickers has run an article on Williams suggests it's moving forward to me. But I thought his article linking players the week meant something too.

Probably needs its own thread this. Middlesbrough is just as nice as any other post-industrial town. Compared to somewhere like Bolton it is thriving.
And it borders some of the loveliest places on earth.
I only ever loved there at Uni. But I've spent more time there than anywhere else due to family and football.
And I will move there or nearby when I retire.

Wing scored 7 goals before lockdown and then never got a look in under Warnock. So to say he had a poor season is unfair. He scores goals. That is what he does.
The trick is working out if he can fit in a Warnock team. But not his fault if Warnock doesn't like him.

It feels to me like we are going to be getting some players from overseas. The British free transfers are in the main taking the easy options down south. Fair enough. Often the way with Boro - northern European players seem to do well and like playing here. That's my hope anyway.

That is a really good use of data. It shows how many players had to fill in in different positions. Noone apart from Fry and Britt played income position all season.
Also shows how next summer we could be even worse off squad wise. Warnock short term might just be a really short term gamble.

Probably because there are no transfers to discuss. Not even any rumours it seems.
I'm surprised there's been no more on Pears - either on signing extension or leaving.
I'm think the efforts at the moment are on left back, centre back, defensive midfield and a striker.
Our squad looks very thin with training starting on Monday. I bet the club thought they would have more in by now.
It's a crazy window.

The Stewart £8m thing to Hull was weird. That was £1m less than Robertson who went the other way. I think it was done like that for the books. No way was he worth £8m.

There must be some signing news today surely. If not I suspect Warnock is finding it as hard as all our managers to get people in when we don't pay stupid wages. Which is the trade off.
I hope we get decent enough players in before Sept 12. We need a good start this season.

The fact EG are running with Moore and Hoilett says to me there is a good chance of both happening. If they are who Warnock wants that's pretty good going.
It would seem to suggest players see us as a decent bet this season.

I wonder if Dael Fry is in quarantine. Just read Harry Kane is. I bet a lot of players have been forced to after holidays.
