We simply have to let Carrick try to sort this out. They have the players to do better, they might need to tweak the tactics. Whether he will do that is another matter. We have to stop runners from midfield. It's happening every single game and it should be easy to remedy. 2 big games this week to see how they are getting on.

I'm not that optimistic. But I think we will get players in where we need them. We will give Carrick the tools to challenge. Whether it's enough is a different question.

My money is on one signing Wednesday, one Thursday and one Friday.

That would be nothing against us though. They are singing loads of kids. Depends what the lad wants. Will be made for life if he goes but could be a local hero if he stays. No problem either way.

Every single championship club and most of the premier League are still finalising their squads. Of the players brought in that we've seen Engel, Silvera and Lath look the business. We need a midfielder and a decent number 10. Then I think things will settle down. But don't be surprised if this season is rocky. As others have said, new strategy, lots of young players. It will take time.

I think it's terrible the bile towards Coulson. In both league games we have been much worse defensively when he has gone off. And I'm not blaming him for not being Giles, which seems to be folks main problem. When Engel plays, gets an assist but we let in 3 all from down his side will folk still blame Coulson. Bonkers.

That's a terrible mistake in my opinion. I actually feel sorry for the lad that Carrick doesn't value his performances at all.

Coulson was one of if not our best players today. McGree was again hopeless when brought on. People need to accept that Coulson is decent at his job.
