  1. I'd personally be shocked if we don't offer Ayling a deal. He's been generally good for us on the pitch and you just know he will have a positive impact off the pitch. I dare say Leeds atm could do with an Ayling to galvanise things. We've missed players like him for a while IMO, somebody who knows when to win a freekick and slow the game, somebody who is in the refs ear all the time, like Leadbitter used to be, that experienced player nous, has a bit of needle and he can play, he's technically better than I expected him to be. The importance of continuity can't be overstated either
  2. Silvera has been miles off it today. Terrible.
  3. Blatent pen, it his his arm that was tucked into his body. Never a pen in a month of Sundays DZ.
  4. Sorry SR but saying tonight summed Dieng up is complete waffle. You can count on 1 hand the amount of mistakes he has made this season. Especially those from passing leading to goals. He has been excellent in the whole and got us a point with the 1v1 save towards the end. Not to mention the save from Greaves header in first half. Hemming is untested in English football above basically Northern League semi pro standard. Brynn looks to be more accomplished but Dieng is an international footballer, one of the top keepers in the division.
  5. I think that's the exact reason he is starting tbh, we pretty much know exactly what we are getting from Engel, Thomas hasn't played an awful lot and will be a free agent come June. I think Carrick will give him the rest of the season to have a proper look at him. He hasn't been particularly impressive to say the least, but you don't start FA cup finals and play close to 100 games for what was a mostly good leicester side if you're a dud. He's a good age, english and is already in the building, I think we will look to sign him personally, wouldn't surprise me at all to see Ba
  6. Lath has only missed 1 pen in his career to date to be fair, and has 100% record for us. Albeit a tiny sample size. Howson missed his last one and I prefer the forwards to take responsibility. I agree no real issue with Greenwood taking it because his dead ball is excellent, but I don't think he'll take the next.
  7. I think Forss is probably first choice taker if he was on the pitch, for me you just go with people who have taken and scored them previously. Lath has taken 1 this season and scored so he should have probably taken it. For what its worth I thought Greenwood would score because his dead ball stuff is pretty good. I think Lath will take the next if the scenarios and personnel were the same.
  8. Think today was his 10th wasn't it ? I think he would be a bigger threat with another forward up there alongside him, he looked better with Forss playing quite close to him over the few weeks before his injury.
  9. Should do better with the shot but the pass wasnt great either, should have been further ahead of him so he would have chance to get it on his right foot. Poor all round.
  10. Engel has been horrible so far today. Passing and decision making both woeful.
  11. Ayling will be RCB for me looking at it.
  12. Sorry Sussex but why on earth would Villa accept having to buy him back if we aren't promoted ? That makes absolutely no sense. If we offered them 18m, they would bite our hand off and that would be that. Got no chance of getting Diallo either for what its worth.
  13. He seems to be playing on the left as the deeper 2 behind Forss, with Mcgree playing towards the right to me.
  14. We signed a load of project players last summer, some have done well and others not so much, as you'd expect. For me we should be targetting players from the teams who have been promoted recently but aren't really playing or coming to end of their contract. Jaiden Anthony for example, he clearly has no future at Bournemouth, has barely started a game for Leeds but comes on towards the end of most games, simply because Summerville is excellent at this level. If Leeds go up I don't imagine they would sign him as he hasn't done enough to dislodge any of their other wingers, so he coul
  15. Been a strange game this, its like we've decided to move away from our usual passing and have became a long ball into the channel team.
  16. We always seem to look so much more organised when we play 3 at the back. It suits the defenders we have. I do wonder whether Carrick needs to just accept we are a better outfit and certainly harder to beat when we play like this, especially going away from home.
  17. Forss had a long lay off and was thrust into the team ahead of schedule due to injuries. I don't mind him coming out for a breather in this one tbh. Him playing won't be the difference in us winning/losing today, but it could be the difference next weekend having him rested up.
  18. Does Azaz know we are in red, gave the ball away loads already.
  19. I'll be renewing, had a season ticket for 20 years next season so its just sort of something I don't even think about. Missed a few seasons when I was playing on a Saturday myself but I actually kept the ticket and my brother just went in my place when I couldn't. The price increase doesnt shock me as such, but the shortness of notice is quite appauling tbh, I'm fortunate enough that I can afford it but asking people in the current climate to part with 500 quid on 4 weeks notice is shocking imo. The payments over the 12 months is shocking also, works out around £50 more I think, they nee
  20. Can't be anything in it, he's already played for 2 teams this season.
  21. Fully agree with Lath and Jones benefitting from the Azaz throughballs, he played 2 or 3 lovely ones today, real nice weight about them. Only issue with that front 4 there is no Forss, and he absolutely needs to be playing for me. He's averaging a goal involvement at 1 every 70 minutes, and an actual goal at one every 99 minutes. Forss is clincal in the extreme and we need to find a way to get Jones/Forss/Mcgree/Azaz and Lath in the same team. Almost like man citys 4-1-4-1 formation. Could always play Forss as the CF but I'm not sure Carrick will.
  22. Yeah it does, could be the right player just slightly wrong info arround position with him scoring 11/12goals ? Greenwood has been through the middle at times recently so I suppose he could be an option until if Lath and Coburn aren't fit. Keeps Azaz away from the left and more central also, haven't seen loads of him but I think he lacks the pace/mobility to play as the LW. Mcgree isn't exactly quick but he's nippy enough and more mobile than Azaz (from what I've seen). I could see the logic in bringing in a LW. Gives us plenty of scope to change things around behind the focal poin
  23. Kieron Scott actually signed him for Norwich to begin with, could be some truth in it if he's revisited the possibility to sign him.
