It's disappointing to hear this, Digger. I don't massively interact with the forum myself, but I do like to catch up whilst I'm definitely focusing at work... Never got the stick that the main ITKs on this forum get when they give information. It's like anything in life - things change at last minute. Yet, some people don't seem to understand this and jump on whoever gives information if it ends up being incorrect. Main thing is to look after yourself and your own mental health, that's above everything. Hope you're okay and always feel free to drop me a message if you ever wanna talk

The sun is out, it's perfect batting conditions yet we've lost Root and Bairstow cheaply. We've been very underwhelming throughout this series, it's been poor preparation with a lack of planning.

Michael Carrick..................A New Chapter

I can see the headlines now. Cattermole's going to get the job, isn't he. -
Michael Carrick..................A New Chapter

I think this has to be the end of Wilder. Genuinely, I was so optimistic when he took over, and even at the beginning of the season. 11 games in, and we look devoid of confidence and ideas. A few games back, I used to think we're being unlucky with results, but now we're playing bad and not getting results. Whether Wilder has been shafted by recruitment or not, he has more than enough in that squad to be near the top end of the table. To be in the relegation zone in October is clearly unacceptable. Not sure who we go for now. Wonder whether we could go for the Plymouth manager, they -
I think, looking back at the window as a whole, we've done pretty well. We've addressed some of the faults of the previous team, and strengthened in certain positions. At one point, I thought we were starting to turn the corner with our recruitment. Giles looks a fantastic signing, Clarke has been a proven performer in this league for years, I do like Lenihan (even if others aren't a fan). However, the past couple of weeks have really irritated me. It's been glaringly obvious that we've needed depth in midfield. Other than a couple of last-minute panic offers, it never felt we were close.

Last night again screamed out that we need another midfielder desperately rather than a striker. The midfield seems to have very little impact on a game. I can't see what Mowatt is offering at the moment, but if he's being asked to be Tavernier-lite in his play, then that'll never be him. There's no shield in front of the defence, leaving us constantly wide open. Paddy's performance last night shows that he can not play that role whatsoever. The question is, who is available to fit the mould this late in the window?

Burnley have confirmed Jon Walters on a 2 year deal. Does this mean the end of their Assombalonga chase? -

I thought he was homesick, so then he signs for a club not in his hometown? -
New MFC Manager Thread - Garry Monk Announced
Redcar Pebble replied to Downsouth's topic in Boro Forum
Although I think there are better options out there (Jokanovic, Wagner etc), I think most fans would prefer Monk to a lot of the other names mentioned (Pearson, Grayson, Giggs). Plays good football, players seem to like him, seemed to have stabilise Leeds (obviously up to the resignation). Not my first choice, but I'd be pretty happy with him. -
Boro vs Accrington Stanley (FA Cup 4th round) 1-0
Redcar Pebble replied to SmogDane's topic in Boro Forum
I reckon near full strength, but think there will be a bit of rotation just to get some players fit. Important for the likes of Bamford and Gestede to get game time. Maybe one or two youth players on the bench - Jakupovic? ----------------------Guzan--------------------- -Chambers-Espinosa-Gibson-Friend- ---------Leadbitter----Clayton------------- ----Bamford----Forshaw----Fischer---- ---------------------Gestede------------------- -
A lot of teams would struggle at the end with Pogba, Ibra, Martial, Mata and Rashford camped out in our penalty box. A shame not to get anything out of the game but in reality was always a game we'd struggle to pick up points. Move on to Leicester, we can definitely get a win at home against them!

Boro v Manchester City (A) 1-1
Redcar Pebble replied to OldManGravz's topic in Match Day Threads 2016/17 Season
Reading their forum, my favourite of the posts: I want to destroy this lot, never could stand 'em. Especially so, after they gave it the big one when some of their players mocked Vinny after their FA Cup win couple seasons back. When Lee Tomlin tears the best centre back in the league a new one, there can be understandable mocking. -
There aren't even home friendly pubs in Liverpool, likely to get glassed/robbed wherever you go, whoever you support Got threatened with a knife in a toxteth pub yrs back Let me rephrase my initial question: are there any pubs in particular in which away fans generally go to despite the disgusted glares from Scousers?

Very excited for tomorrow. Always liked Everton (not even sure why) and was one of the grounds I wanted to tick off before the fixtures were announced. Unfortunately think we'll struggle. They have bags of pace to attack with Bolasie and Deulofeu, and Lukaku back in form. For me, I'd start with Clayton and De Roon in the middle. Very harsh on Forshaw, but I think they offer more protection and Barry & Gueye can easily run the show for them. Any away fan-friendly pubs near the ground?
