Class tackle that. Great ball and touch from their players too. -

Hopefully McGree playing regularly means all is fine and we can hold onto him for next season. Strange to drop Azaz when he was posting figures though. -

Reminiscent of Souness/Pogba that. Can we give Barlaser a break from imaginary certainties -

Is it 532 or 523? -
Preston v Boro 2-1 (Azaz)

I think Silveira has even trying too hard to impress so every time he starts on the left he just tries to cut inside and shoot. Hope I'm right in remembering it was his assist from the right to set ELL up for his first goal (header at home?). I'd be starting Fors up top with Mcgree, Azaz and Silveira behind him. Don't think Greenwood deserves to be dropped in terms of effort and people will say 'he scored last week but it was given offside'. Didn't score then did he. Fors is widely agreed to be our best finisher, let's try and get him the most chances. Don't agree with saying that the sea -
Think Lingard would smash this league but doubt he would come cheap. If we were 2nd or 3rd and needed a Ramirez then I'd be for spending big, but at the moment it's a no.

We wanted a win with no injuries and neither were delivered. I just feel flat. -

Need to get the job done on Saturday then think about subbing people. We can lose on Tuesday and still be proud of what we have done - we might lose on Saturday and really regret it at the seasons end. -
Think one of the main issues against Villa was when we got close to the box either their defenders snuffed us out by just being faster/stronger/better or when we did get into a crossing position it was a poor cross or never came in. I know Carrick likes us to try and play out from the back and play through teams but with Coburn in the box sometimes you just need to get in in first time.

How often ha Crooks been slagged off then popped up with a goal? He's an experienced threat, no way was he getting dropped. -
Don't be jealous because mine is correct 😁

Unsure if it's true or been mentioned before but Leeds fan at work reckons Greenwood has a 1.5m release clause in his contract

Watford vs Middlesbrough 2-3 (McGree (2) Coburn)

I'd say Tavs role in this current side is Hackney. He was our busy transition player and just expected to do a bit of everything. Wasn't there some stat where in his last season here he was the only midfielder in the top 10 for both balls won and key passes? -

When we said we wanted Carrick to replicate last season, we didn't mean start *** then turn it on. Delighted with the win, carry on against Cardiff and hopefully we can start sticking a run together. Only seen the highlights - all the goals were decent but rewatched the 3rd a few times. The ball from Crooks, the strong arm off, the cool finish. Perfection. On the Tav comments, would love to see him in this side with Mcgree not instead of. Probably would be our Lb though -
Bradford vs Middlesbrough 0-2 (Latte Lath, Rogers)

Balancing act between having as much continuation as possible without putting too much risk into Saturday. Lenihan seems more robust than Fry so keep him in. Both fullbacks should be fine. Barlaser needs some minutes, Howson probably the most droppable out of him OB and Hackney, Jones the most vital out of our attackers and LL needs a goal or 2. I think it will be the below, possibly with Hackney for Howson: Any Gk Smith Lenihan Mcnair Engel Barlaser Howson Silvera Rodgers Mcgree LL -
So happy to finally win. Saw the notification on my phone and thought 'oh here we go again'. Quite suprised reading back through the thread it wasnt total meltdown, definitely a good thing we scored bwfore HT. Watched the extended highlights - a few positives and negatives but they are lost in the importance of 3 points. Just can't believe Howson did the griddy.

Reading through some of Carricks comments and it's slightly concerning that he was happy with the second half right hand side link ups of Jones, Crooks, Hackney and....Sammy. If Jones doesn't start this game at RW I will be shocked. Be good if we can get Bangura LB and Dijksteel or Smith back at RB.
