I don't think they have ever said that about a striker. I'm sure they have mentioned forwards as a priority. Happy to be corrected. I think Craig Johns only last week was saying we didn't expect a striker.

Who knows whether it happens or not but the interest in Adam Armstrong is real - it's certainly not a publicity stunt. And it isn't exactly news but we thought we had a deal agreed for the young Spurs forward. The goal posts seemingly changed on that one and we walked away. I think that suggests that a forward (Armstrong or not) is still very much on the agenda

I'm pretty sure that while the rules are different in League One, once you are promoted the rolling 3 year period is back dated to include spend when not in the Championship.

Not in the know but I expect us to be linked with Toni Fruk (Croatian attacking midfielder). I think he fits the exact profile we need to complement/upgrade McGree and Whittaker. Fruk has been touted around Premier League clubs for between €7m - €10m but no takers. I imagine a loan to buy at the higher end of their valuation might be attractive, as at the very least they get him on the radar of Premier League clubs. Hellberg's teams have normally been set up with a pacy wide man so what about Traore? He has 6 months left on his contract, so a loan to buy might suit Fulham if they don't have a buyer at the end of the window. He would definitely be a 'going for it' type signing! I also think Bamford might be a good shout and I expect we will be talking to Sunderland about some of the squad players (Rigg, Mundle etc) once they get players back from AFCON. Let's hope we get some news soon!

There is absolutely no way that McCormick should be anywhere near the first team. He has a great attitude by all accounts but he has lots of improving to do.

I don't know whether any sell on has been settled but I do know that it would be in no one's interest (Boro or Villa) to make it public.

I am a fan of Azaz but he is a moments player. He doesn't have consistency in his performances, from minute to minute nevermind game to game. If the ball gets played into him under pressure, he is equally likely to lose possession as retain it. He can't protect the ball very well. I'm not sure if it's a technical, physical or mental thing but you can't have a consistency of performance if your fulcrum can't retain possession. Azaz has talent but he can be nullified physically in a way that Akpom or Rogers couldn't. I've enjoyed the moments but I have no doubt we can be more consistently effective without him.

If what is after 8 months? I thought they were able to sign professionally for a club when they are 17? I hope to see them develop with Boro but good luck to them - very talented lads.

This Salaby looks exciting too! We could have some serious options at the top end of the pitch. I know we are still looking at a more 'target' striker too but I think it might be a week or two before we agree a price (the asking price is still too high and no guarantee it will fall) Add this striker and a LWB and we have a very good squad again!
