  1. fry wont be on the pitch you can relax. everytime we have a defensive wobble, not so young dael is always the main culprit this season. he can be great sometimes and equally awful. hes a defender we need to protect better. if hes exposed he completely loses the plot.
  2. guys need to take the blinkers off here. who are leeds? they are not some super team that will hammer us. they are just a decent champo team with a pacy front line. they are there to be got at. we are more than capable of getting a result there. If we turn up, which we will btw. I predict a boro away win 3-1. piroe for them, he normally gets one against us doesn't he. after this win for the mighty Boro, Leeds wheels will fall off and we can get the picture of the leeds bus out again. Happy days
  3. cherry picking a few very generous comments there bruce/ connolly stunk the place out, we all know it and so do you. LL isnt stinking the place out, everyone can see what he offers, the goals will come if he gets the chances. he got thrown into the team and suffered like rogers and Silveira did. i think all our transfers in the summer were decent tbh. though gilberts seems an odd one atm and rav is looking an outstanding signing.
  4. i'm not understanding how LL reminds you of connolly tbh. when he first arrived he literally couldn't trap a football or make a 10 yard pass. looked like a pub league player who won a competition. He then progressed to being capable to doing the basic's to an acceptable standard and thats as good as he got. he ran about no doing anything much. LL is far far far better than connolly ever was at any point for us. People need to have a reality check on him. hes in a team that doesnt really set up chances for the striker most of the time. all our goals come from other players. the actual ser
  5. seen a video of him putting chances on a plate for his team mates to fluff for 5 minutes there. That lad needs to play at a higher standard. his chance creation stats must be impressive.
  6. if we lose this, I fully expect a full on melt down by some members. we just leave an open house at the back when we press forwards. To do that away from home is mental, doesn't matter what league you play in. We all used to moan at schteve for his dont lose first tactics. But Carrick should be instilling this mentality into his players, especially away from home. Broguht it back to 2-2 then still rushed forwards exposing ourselves when, in reality we never needed to. need to be smarter than this on the pitch. we were well on top and they scored against the run of play. but dear me, its
  7. striker was moving away from goal. yellow card all day, not even debatable
  8. WTF ARE WE DOING. back to losing the game from our own garbage suicidal defending. like early season all over again. They were there for the taking, but we just bimble around passing slowly getting nowhere, shoot ourselves in the foot and now we have a mountain to climb. we can still win this game, because they are rubbish. we just need to wake tf up.
  9. as long as we defend well and limit space for teams, we'll win most games, even when we dont limit space we win. looks like we have uped our defensive game and expect us to give them little. hopefully we can covert chances into goals and win. going for 3-1 boro. coburn brace and late latte lath strike to seal the win. we be well on top concede against the run of play to go 1-0 down bring it back to 2-1 and have a few nervous moments before sealing it late on with a break away goal.
  10. worrying for latte lath though, big money signing and barely getting enough minutes. now we are talking of signing another striker. i wonder if they are looking for chuba mark 2. the false 9 to play instead of crooks. but that would hinder rogers development ? can only mean we are looking to improve on what we have, so we recognize we need to be more clinical in them attacking area's. needing someone better than we have to play with josh? must be loads of CB's we could get in to bench warm incase of further injuries. clarke cant be to far away now hes been on the bench for a month.
  11. yes totally, hackey was always wide, hes always drifted wide but he seemed to stay wide. he clearly asked to do a different job against leicester. have to watch out in the next few games and see if it stays a bit more like that out of possession. its really promising to see the tactical changes. if we are actually seeing on the pitch our greatest weakness dissappearing. it can only lead to less goals conceded and more points gained. if we can beat leicester, who according to some played as well as they have all season in parts. then we have nothing to fear going leading into the ve
  12. i dont think we will revert back to open spaces, carrick said they have been working on closing down on the opposition when defending. i think our team is in the process of a tactical evolution again. if we were good enough at keeping the ball against leicester we would have. but we couldnt are were forced to defend. but we still limited them space. we lever left wide open spaces for them to counter into.
  13. my thoughts? well we always play rubbish and lose. usually give you a couple of free goals before we wake up and try and play. hoping it will be different carrick seems to have us defending off the ball much better recently. but we still have moments in games were we leave opposition far to much space. we a probably more vunerable when we are well on top and dominating. few games under carrick we have been so dominant its like we forget another team is playing and become oblivious to the danger and totally switch off.
  14. he was a poor ref, he layed down a marker for free kicks early on, by blowing for nothing against us. within a few minutes an almost identical foul(in his eyes) was given for us. so he kept that consistency all game. he basically ruined the flow of the game trying to help them. thats how it felt to me. biased ref again. must have been in on the spot fixed halsey said is rife at the fa.
  15. on their forum they seem to think they had the better chances and we never really had much. they are still blinkered and think they are better than they are. we could quite easily scored 3 or 4 today. crooks messes one up but keeper makes a good save, he actually made two very decent saves to keep it level before half time. if greenwood passes to crooks instead of shooting we almost have a tap in. i only recall dieng being stretched once. their other chances were all right at him near enough. for all that good possession they had second half, they didnt really trouble dieng except for one time
  16. funny game this, we wont sit back like everyone else did against them. we'll try and dominate, i dont think they are very physical in midfield. if howson starts its a worry. but if barlaser and hackney in the middle we'll be the ones in control here. cant afford to give some of their attackers space. best to try and starve them the ball. should be an interesting game. if they are the team to beat this season. it will be a good gauge of where we are at. especially with the new lads. the team last season were scared of burnley and never really performed. i feel we are more fearless this season,
  17. i think we are nailed on for the win. they seem the have the opinion that the 3 game a week schedule is taking its toll on the players and they are not sweeping teams aside like they were. they will see it as just another champo team full of players they have never heard of. we will be free to play our game against another team who try and play football. we will deffo enjoy the game more than them. i think we will beat them by a couple of goals.
  18. in fact scrap all european formats and return to champions cup, uefa cup, cup winners cup(for fa cup only). the mini league formats are rubbish.
  19. how about the league cup not including premier league teams at all, but the winner still gains a place in the europa conference league. taking up the spot that a prem team finishing 7th would get.
  20. If we had chuba and archer we have another dozen points. we'd be right in the auto mix
  21. shocker from the ref yesterday. never sent the lad who tripped izzy and never give a pen. then gave a foul against latte lath when defender messed up and he ran claen through on goal. replays show he litrally never touched the defender. cost us 2 points.
  22. f u ref, LL clean through, even on the replays it's totally obvious he doesn't foul him. ref saved plymouth there. 2 points dropped today, we have that game won twice. should never have conceded like we have. first goal we miss 3 tackles second hes left free to shoot and 3rd was a horror show. atleast we came away with something. i'd have been fuming if they won that.
  23. carrick is loyal to his players, that is a good thing but also a bad thing, when clearly dijksteel is better than rvb and rogers better than greenwood recently. we would be better with them in the side atm but its still good because all the players who get in the team will know they wont be taken out once established.
  24. i watched it on astro sport croatia. only thing i picked up from them was when they were talking about us being in prem and getting to uefa cup final, boksic mendy were mentioned.
  25. chuba scores at the end after hitting bar in a earlier header.
