A few articles have said Finch has been scoring regularly for the u21s. Does anyone know what his record is this season by any chance please?

Carrick has said Finch will be given a chance towards end of season which is good,

I hope in the last 4-5 games what we see is certain players just being given a chance to showcase what they can do with an eye on next season.

I would love to see likes of Gilbert just been given several games where he starts so we can see what he about as its very hard to judge based on a handful of 10-15 cameo appearences.

Looks like 5 games 5 goals this season according to Transfermarkt

  2. I'm *** sick of Carrick saying "it's just one game" and things like that. I get it, but we've had 15 or so "just one games" this year. I want to see him be passionate about driving standards up, expecting more and demanding the maximum.

You can't tell me that Sir Alex would have been OK with that. I know we aren't Man United and Carrick isn't Fergie, but I want to see a bit of it if you know what I mean

  3. I don't think we're going anywhere, we'll finish in the middle of the table.

For me, let's now focus on developing this team. The players who are contracted to Boro, in a style/system that we want for next season. Look at a couple of the young lads and see how they react to first team football and if they can maybe be a part of the squad next year.

Full steam ahead in preparation for next season. UTB

    Sorry for the mail link

Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham, Liverpool, West Ham, Aston Villa, Wolves, Nottingham Forest, Crystal Palace and Bournemouth.

Bit rich given every club bar the first four have been in this league recently and a couple of those are "yo-yo" clubs who can easily be here again soon

The red card sainz got on Wednesday has been rescinded after an appeal. Deserved. Never a red card.

Yeah fair enough, I have to say that it didn't look to me like he had manoeuvred to kick out at Johnny. And I've been bouncing if it was one of our players.

Have a feeling that there will be quite a few departures at the end of the season and possibly some surprising names at that!

McNair, Dijksteel, Hackney, Howson, McGree, Hoppe would be my guess.

    Gilbert and Coburn on loan.

I'd be surprised if any of the loan players moved here permanently unless Forest's apparent asking price on O'Brien is much lower than reported.

Gibson actually said, we'd like to smash the league. A big difference between going to smash, or want to smash the league

I'd like to smash Jordan Hugill's face in.

I'm not going to, but I'd like to.

    Same thing I think

Apparently he played really well and almost scored but still, never good to come on as a sub and then get subbed yourself.

I watched the game actually. He looked tidy getting forward but Villa got absolutely roasted down his side defensively. He played left, and him and the left back Moreno both got the hook.

He has just been linked to two unknown Championship clubs and a Serie B club.

Looked fairly promising at Adelaide as an 18 year old then  faded a bit but having a top season now at Newcastle Jets, leading the scoring charts at the moment.

There's two players at the club I support Nick Milanovic 22 left winger or attacking midfield and Aidan Simmons 20 a winger turned right back, who I'm sure will be snapped up by European clubs very soon, I  wonder if Boro are monitoring them, certainly fit their model.

Not a lot in the way of highlights for Stamatelopoulos on you tube, some extended highlight of one match he features in with a goal and assist earlier in his career.

Another match this season where he got a double and an assist.

I'd sign him just for the money you'd make on shirts. Getting his name on the back, you'd pay his transfer fee off with about ten orders!

  11. To clarify, I voted he needs more time. But he really needs to look at this situation hard. It may be for the publics eye but he comes across in his interviews like "it's no problem" which, I'll be honest, doesn't endere me. I want to see him showing it hurts him, and he's determined to get it right.

  12. In addition to some of the other comments, and Redcar Rioja went into a bit of detail... January looks like a disaster window for us. Rogers and Crooks out with Azaz replacing both. Not addressing the striker issue at all which every man and his dog could see was issue #1 with the team coming into the window.

But back to Carrick, as I said previously and many others have, he simply has to be getting more out of this group than he is. Big scalps like Leicester is a waste of time of you can't get anything from Plymouth, Stoke, Rotherham. If it's motivation for playing the bigger sides, that's on him to sort out. If it's the tactics, that's on him to implement.

Yes there's a lot of mitigating factors as others have pointed out, such as recruitment and injuries. But there's no excuse to be so good one week and gutless the next.
