Perhaps some people forget how pants Rogers was in the first 6 weeks here 😁 His performances in the last month or two are really where he's shone. If he's worth however much then we might as well give Finn a bit of time lol

Are you thinking £10m all in? E.g. £7m up front + £3m in potential add-ons?
-
Either way, I just think the talk of £10m + is pie in the sky. I can't see that valuation on the purchasing end. If we insist on >£8m I don't think he'll go
-
Yeah that's a fair point. What he's worth in the market doesn't necessitate what he's worth in a deal to us. I suppose some of that will be down to what the coaching staff feel his value to our season is. There's going to be a tipping point on that, and you work backwards. I.e. if you want £5m net, you build your price from there

I swear, Boro fans are going to talk themselves into thinking that Rogers is worth £30m by the end of the window 😂 I honestly think £7-8m is where he'll get sold personally. Any more than that and we've played an absolute blinder

I think it's a big ask for Forss to start, after a good bit of time out and playing 70mins on Saturday. But we aren't really blessed with options at the moment with Crooks just getting back from injury and question marks over Coburn's fitness. What's going on with Dijksteel? I thought his foot injury was supposed to be a fairly quick turnaround?

He's just barged him over! Anywhere else on the pitch and the ref gives a Foul, I'm certain -

Someone go and knee high that ***. -
Might be this one

He's potentially at his peak valuation too, which won't fit the model of what we're trying to do. If Rogers does go I'm not sure we need an immediate direct replacement though, there's a decent bit of competition in that area of the pitch

Has he gone to AFCON? I think he's the best #10 in the league me

I have it in my head that Rogers came to us for somewhere between £1-1.5m. I imagine that a bid of £4-5m would get him personally. I think anything over £7m is completely fanciful to be honest. I hear what people are saying about selling Ramsay and Archer making it odd, but maybe this is Villa's version of what we're doing? Bring in ~£35m for those two, spend £5m on Rogers, sell him on in a few years for £15m, rinse and repeat?
