  1. Feel so much apathy for the club at the minute, and at the same time anger! Season ticket prices are a joke, we sold 2 attacking players without replacing them, failed to get that all important striker. We’ve turned into a selling club with no ambition. Maybe I’m just ranting but if the season finished tomorrow it wouldn’t be a bad thing.
  2. Think we might see a loan striker come in to take the pressure off Coburn and Latte Lath but can see the club banking the Rogers money until the summer. Isn’t much value in this window atm
  3. Really see this as the starting point of our new recruitment model and they should get some praise for squad building they have done. We've managed to replace pretty much every position occupied by a loan player last season, whilst bringing the age of the squad down. We've also now got a team that can grow together, who are decent sized contracts with potential for a greater re sale value. We can now look forward and build upon what we have, rather than looking to replace. Hopefully the team gels and we start winning some games, and maybe 1-3 decent loans/prem quality we could be in for a dece
  4. Think Darlow could be a shrewd signing, plenty of experience and wouldn't cost too much. Wonder when we'll find out if Payero has left the club, remember Scott saying they had to take the option in May/June
  5. Most likely it's known that we made a massive loss 19/20 season, and traditionally as a club we don't tend to make money so it could be a case putting 2 and 2 together. We could go close though. However we did get wages of Ayala, Shotton, Clayton and Friend amongst others which would have helped. The scary thing is say we posted a similar loss again we could potentially go over the FFP limit next season, with a loss of -£48m before you even take in account this season. Again we saw what you would consider 12 first team players leave including Assombalonga and Fletchers big wages which wi
  6. This was from @swissramble last year, so if the maths adds up we can probs make up to similar losses as last year and stay within FFP... just
  7. Exactly, rarely do the players we let leave end up playing above the standing of the football club, most have to leave the club to get actually make a career in the game. Interested to see how Bettinelli gets on, seemed decent a few years back, wonder if a change of club can help him rediscover the form that got him an England call up
  8. Have we ever let a youngster go and then thought 'Wow, that was a mistake!'? James Morrison was probably the biggest, maybe Lee Cattermole for what we replaced him with? Letting Chris Smalling go back down south before he joined Man Utd for millions? But apart from that I think the club have been pretty good at letting academy go
  9. Dunno why Gibbo gets loads of hate, people saying he hasn't played for 2 years but it's not as if he's been constantly injured, or won't be the same player he was a couple of years ago, he's entering his prime as a footballer and anything near £5m would be a steal. Just my opinion but we'd have two solid CBs that would get into most teams in the league.

  11. The worrying thing is, we've got no one else to come in and make a massive impact. Apart from Fry we have played everyone in the opening games. It literally is going to be Woodgates ability to get the best out of the group and hopefully that's enough until January where we might be able to get some quality in
  12. How much then? £5m? £10m, £20m? I'm pretty sure if we had the money we wouldn't of replaced the amount of players we lost with £3.5m worth of signings, all from lower leagues.
  13. Honestly think Gibson doesn't have the funds anymore. Nowadays top end Championship players can go for £20million, we didn't even spend that sort of money in the PL! Unfortunately the gravy train has passed us by and once you stop competing off the pitch it's very hard to compete on it. Think the club will view not getting relegated as a success this season
  14. Exactly, I'm not saying I don't want to see attacking football, I just want us to show abit of game management when we do get ahead
  15. Nope I wouldn't, just because we scored 3 goals doesn't mean it was a great result. Attacking wise, it was great to see, but the best teams know how to manage games, and felt after the 3rd goal we should've slowed the game down and seen it out. I want us to get out of the league, but conceding some of the goals we did tonight will make it a hard job. Woodgate said he loved seeing goals tonight, he'll soon get sick of them if we're conceding 3 every game. Like you say, if Britt scores the pen we're probably talking about a win. Still wouldn't disguise how easy it was for Luton to get at us.
  16. Far too open for me. Defence a massive concerning. We looked bright going forward though which was pleasing
  17. Hopefully we can go out and get that much needed no. 10 now.
  18. Todd Kane. Always remember seeing him on old FM/FIFA getting released and ending up at some league 2 basement team. Into the era of 'scraping the barrel'
  19. Well I don't think Pulis wanted him to leave, the guy has talent and if his head was screwed on he'd be a good asset in the Championship and I believe Pulis knew this. From the Gazette previously - 'It's not like Pulis hung Braithwaite out to dry. If anything, it was the direct opposite. He praised "exceptional" Braithwaite repeatedly and talked up his importance. When his form dipped, Pulis was often quizzed on the Danish forward and the frustration in his body language was clear - but he resisted any temptation to throw the player under the bus.' However Braithwaite clearly ha
  20. I think Randolph would stay if he knew he was gonna be a no.1 here rather than a no.2 elsewhere, unless it was at a top 6 club. With Braitwaite I suppose it's the way he goes about it. Of course our players would leave with a better offer, I just think with him he would actively go out of his way to leave the club as soon as he knew there were offers sniffing around. I could understand the first season he maybe didn't want his World Cup chances to be harmed, but last season he actually started off really decent, the fans wanted him to stay, Pulis wanted him, he was playing well. But
  21. Just can't trust Braithwaite. As soon as something better comes along he'll be off. Don't think it has much to do with the style of play, reckon he just doesn't want to be in England, in Middlesbrough, in the Championship. His hearts not in it in my opinion.
  22. Looking at the fixtures, think 12 points from the first 6 games should be the target. The squad already has a decent core, just need to add abit of pace and flair and we can compete for play offs again.
  23. Didn't he get a move to Dynamo Kiev?
