  1. It’s interesting to notice the varying degrees of emotional investment we all show.
  2. Has the club in some way failed to manage supporter expectations in this window then??
  3. We created the same number of chances as Watford yet really lacked composure in front of goal which was really frustrating. We also really need to work harder at how to keep our shape out of possession. The yellow cards are unnecessarily stacking up possibly as a result
  4. I believe his caps were at U21 level and not full internationals from my distant memory of it.
  5. It’ll be odd watching a Burnley side under Vincent Kompany and not Sean Dyche. Reckon it could be a decent game to kick the season off.
  6. Jeff Hendrick to QPR and the Panzo lad to Forest were interesting late deals.
  7. 86 but being half empty. But also project Bournemouth, Ipswich + Derby on 86, 86 + 87 being half full. Hope to be proved very wrong but I agree it could be down to who doesn't blink in the last 3 games.
  8. I'd imagine with our scouting network and other contacts there is method. Players being watched over time, and also an eye out for unexpected releases. Are they better than we have, do we have an option should a silly bid come in for current squad member, are these players suited to Championship or the Prem (or both). Would hope that is geared towards summer as don't think we need additions at the moment.
  9. It's all pretty surreal. A Belgian international who fell in love with the club from afar and signed for love not money. In my mind storys like this always have a happy ending. UTB.
  10. I totally agree. Bamford was a starter most of the time at Derby. He may feel that if he's not guaranteed an automatic start that it's a backward step. I would be very surprised if the club don't have other irons in the fire. Offering him a deadline would mean we could pursue those targets. Interesting comments from Steve Bruce yesterday that Hull have/are in a position to replace Shane Long and are talking to 6-8 clubs. OK that's PL but I would hope we've not put our eggs in one basket.
  11. Appointing Dave Hockaday has probably been the strangest managerial incoming since that Curtis bloke who blagged into Swansea for 4 days. Hockaday failed at arguably the best resourced Conference club. I wonder how + why Leeds see him as a good fit. The players know this. Will he inspired them? Not sure. Not against us I'm certain. Forest Green isn't too far from me so am taking more notice of Leeds than is healthy. We go into this with confidence. Be very surprised if we don't win.
  12. Definitely shed the Tears of a Clown. When the Black Dog arrives thoughts become distorted + the idea that life isn't worth living entangled with belief that you are a burden to your family can take people to this place. Craving for peace. I hope he has found it. His family will be heartbroken. It's so hard to imagine or understand why a loved one could do this.
