We could sign anyone on here and some people would act like he's Messi. We could sign Messi and people would still find negatives.. There would be negatives to signing Messi. He would cost us £100M. As such we couldn't afford anyone else. His wages would pretty much cripple the club. With Messi as our only signing, we'd probably struggle to stay up (a bit like the Ravanelli era). Presumably we'd have relegation clauses in Messi's contract.... but in all likelihood I reckon we'd be finally pretty stuffed, and probably go bust. Other than that, it would all be good.
