  1. Dunno if this fits the bill or not but it's a band from the early 70s who reformed in 2008 after more than thirty years in obscurity, if that gives you any idea of the kind of cult following they attracted. The band is Comus and their 1971 album "First Utterance" is what generated all the interest. I used to own it on vinyl and I spent a lot of time tracking down a digital release before finding the 2-CD set "Song to Comus" on Amazon. The first 7 tracks reproduce "First Utterance" exactly. And then, of course, along it came on You Tube:
  2. No-one else brought this up but it looked to me like Djilobodji was deliberately trying to butt people when challenging in the air. It happened on at least two occasions and you could see his head jerk in the direction of our player's head in a typical butting motion. Didn't anyone else notice?
  3. Caley Shaun's faulty memory has brought back some rather painful ones for us. Serves us right, I suppose, for not keeping his renowned fellow Scot, Jordan Jock Rhodes, in the limelight. Ever been had, guys? :D
  4. Some good scoring opportunities a*** the second round's 22 goals and 7 clean sheets: This round's biggest mover, trekkers, has rocketed 26 places up to 9th in the table, thanks to racking up the week's top score of 81 points. It's a fine example to fantasy football newbies of how a single good round can make an enormous difference to your league standings. Despite there being only 22 goals, our average team score of 59.23 was more than 20 points up on last week. Of course, Sergio and Ibra played their part in that again, but plenty of us picked up good points courtesy of the plentiful

  9. Took time out to bung match-day pasties in the oven and it would be great if he's fit.
  10. Still nearly two hours to go? Let's have another look at typicalbrough's fine opening post... After only getting 2 attempts on target do you change anything for the game on Sunday? Sunderland are a very different kettle of fish to that well organised Stoke side, although Moyes is likely to start remedying their shortcomings as one of his priorities. I'm anticipating that Mannone is in for a very stressful day. Do you risk Ayala or Bernardo at CB? Not if they're still unfit. Barragan will do for me. Does Forshaw continue in midfield? Should be okay there so long as Clattermole isn't
  11. Wheeee! I finally got some points!
  12. Welcome to the forum, JPG. I'll be interested to see whether they hassle Caballero as much as they did Valdes although crowding the keeper does seem to be a regular feature of their game.

  14. There are some good laughs in there, enough to encourage me to let YouTube feed me some more, right up to the interview with Colin Farrell about his (then) upcoming movie with Emma Thompson and Tom Hanks called "Saving Mr banks". The lure of Emma Thompson, Colin Farrell and Tom Hanks in the same movie was irresistible so I gave in to temptation and I used Kodi to have a look. Sadly, the warning signs were there right from the off when I realised that this was going to be a Disney film and that Hanks would be playing Disney. This might have been inspired casting by another studio but Hanks p
  15. Yep, No 10 and right wing. At least he is according to Wikipaedia for what it's worth.
  16. It's the silly season, people in the transfers thread are getting frustrated at the lack of activity so maybe it's time for a bit of fun.
  17. I have never run a Super 6 league but the others allow the boss to close the league to new entrants. The FPL also permit expulsions.
  18. I collected 43 but I'm not at all worried. It's likely that there's another 2,200 or more points to collect before the end of the season so there's lots of scope for things to change.
  19. Yes, and all of that is perfectly fair and reasonable. So long as we all stick consistently to our own individual rating systems then the numbers are going to provide a very fair assessment of oneBoro's player of the season.
  20. Last season I started off awarding 5 to a player who put in a decent shift. However, from boro-unger's reported averages, it became apparent that most people were awarding 6 for what I considered to be a competent performance. I have since followed suit so most of our squad, including AA, got a 6 from me for their collective and individual competence on Saturday.
  21. I do hope you were never one of those calling for us to play 4-4-2 last season. I haven't checked your posts but there are those who will. :D
  22. If you had asked me to predict which players would be the outliers on a oneBoro vs Press rating comparison, I would have been spot on with oneBoro undervaluing Adomah and Downing and overrating Ramirez and Forshaw. Anyone who reads the Boro Forum regularly couldn't fail to notice how certain players can do no wrong while others have no right to don a Boro shirt. Part of Adomah's problem is that we bought him from Bristol City and so there is absolutely no way that he will ever be good enough for the Premier League. Downing's problem is exactly the opposite in that most fans had unrealistic
