Very strange noises coming out of Villa Park at the moment, yes they want to sell Archer and Ramsey as Emery wants more players in before deadline day. It seems though that they will only sell on their terms at an inflated value plus a buy back clause at a specific amount triggered by them with a maximum wage structure agreed with returning player. I think that was the plan all along bring in young prospect players who we can add value to and supplement the squad with PL loans, which as you say will not happen until their squads are finalised. There are a lot of ifs and buts in that policy and the chances of launching an immediate promotion challenge would seem to be slim, more of a three season build up
