It doesn’t matter who is in the team if we show the same lack of commitment, fight and the inability to pass the ball 10 yds, then we will have the same result as Plymouth, Bristol etc.

If you take out the relegated teams from last season our squad value would be the third highest in the league and yet we are not getting the results that that squad should be producing. No excuses that is down to management of that squad and the tactics and formations the players are being asked to play in, some in the red shirts today looked thoroughly fed up and I can’t frankly blame them

Then we add in 3 of the front 4 being randomly assigned positions week to week, whilst a striker plays on the wing.
A manager needs to be flexible, work with what we have to get the most out of the team. He's sticking to his system - that only worked because of Giles/Akpom - regardless of how poor we've been.
Do you think it’s possible that the front four are drawn by lottery every week it certainly appears that way

Why the merry @@@@ is Barlaser playing on the edge of our penalty area, this is the worse I have seen us set up, Carrick has lots of questions to answer how he has set this team up

For a 19 year old it was amazing to watch VDB marshalling his defence like someone 10 years older, enjoy him while we can as the big clubs will knocking shortly, oh and Glover was appalling, he wasn’t but that is just appease the mob😆

Nice to see an organised defensive display for a change apart from the rushes of blood to the head that Matt Clarke keeps having when he pushes up and gets lost in midfield, have a word Carrick. A round of applause for O Brian, at last we see the player we thought he was and also Silvera, so nice to have some pace upfront

We have been ok for the first twenty minutes with the five at the back giving us a level of solidity, having said that we could easily be two down. No shots on goal yet and with this Leicester side looking so good I can’t see that changing. Note Aziz has just scored 😂😂😂

I am reading that forum members want us to buy a defensive midfielder in the summer, and I totally agree, but what is the point Carrick won’t play with one. Look at all the goals we have conceded from outside the box with long shots, the number of times players are free to run at our backline, the confused expressions on our players faces when they are caught upfield and nobody has covered their run. Good teams are built from the back with a solid defence that retains its shape, ours is quite frankly a shambles and a lot of that is Carricks stubbornness in not putting a holding midfielder in front of our back four

There is not a lot of joy in watching this team is there. Toothless in attack, a midfield as soft as a blamange and a defence which seems incapable of holding a straight line, 12 points off the relegation places I hope it is enough

Fry has probably seen that Howson is back in front of him and has thrown a sickie. His expressions on Saturday, as the defence that was supposed to be in front of him went absent, were priceless, and now it has just got worse

Well that was tactically cr@@ another ruined weekend I must admit I am rapidly losing patience with how Carrick is trying to play, it might be that we just don’t have the individuals to make it work

I am seeing nothing that convinces me that Luke Thomas is a £10 million left back, his positioning is all over the place. Never mind the six point gap to the relegation zone though, we are too good to go down, now which other teams have said that hmmm
