  1. Warnock has been in charge for a season and a third now and we've had about 10 shots on target in that time. Insane that people are still acting like this sort of game is a one off. It isn't. It's the norm. We play like this regardless of personnel. It's deliberate. He wants them to hit percentage balls into the channels. It doesn't work. We are tripe.

  2. There's never any point arguing about information people post here. Best to take it all with a massive pinch of salt and not get too excited/wound up by any of it. I don't think anyone on the board has managed to come out with some genuine insider info this year (correct me if I'm wrong), but it's always fun to see what people have to say.

Yeah I agree that the wing is not his position. I just struggled to see what his attributes are. Hard working?

I don't think it's fair on him, really. There was a moment in the first half when he had the ball at his feet and sent Robinson for a hot dog twice.

Otherwise, he was just having the ball pinged up to him. Get him in the middle alongside Payero, drop Howson, get Tav where Crooks was playing, and we would look entirely different.

  4. The only thing that's got me annoyed is it's the same as last season.

A whole pre-season, whole transfer window, chance to mix it up, bring in the players he wants, get them playing something.

And it's just the same. Boring, tepid, lifeless, scared football. He's changed nothing. Sucked the excitement right back out of me.

Also moving like they've been on a diet of Yorkshire puddings.

We all saw there was no pace or width in the team, so it's hardly surprising. Bola and Dijksteel are not wing backs, Watmore and Crooks are not really wide men, Ikpeazu is by far the best player on the pitch for us and that's just because he's very good at tossing himself around. Nobody's getting anywhere near enough to help him.

  6. I don't know if it has been mentioned, but on talksport this morning Warnock confirmed that we've brought in a new sporting director and that "a lot will change in the next 12 months".

Basically confirmed he's leaving at the end of the season and that Scott will be picking a new coach...

Of course it's hidden away behind an article about his bum-bag like. Ffs.

‘Payero was put through his paces on the Rockliffe training pitches by Neil Warnock and Kevin Blackwell and will meet his new team-mates for the first time on Friday’.

Okay then, well who are the two players behind him..?

Wouldn't be shocked if it's Bamba/Paterson. Announced today or tomorrow you'd think?

3 or 4 is nowhere near enough, We’re in big trouble if we get injuries this year.

"In big trouble"? We got loads of injuries last year with a smaller squad and came 10th.

We will probably get just as many injuries this year and finish similarly.

3-4 more would be the absolute limit, for me. You can't add more than 9 players in one transfer window and expect it to go well.

  9. The thing with Paterson is you really can't expect a player to come in to an entirely new team, whilst injured, and play his best with an unsettled system that clearly hasn't been worked on properly, in friendlies against non-league teams.

How is he meant to play his best football when he's played just sort of "anywhere in the middle" with no natural width outside him?

Absolutely bizarre to me why we have kept Warnock then. If Gibson wants to sign young exciting players then he should do that, but we need a long term manager. If you aren’t going to give Warnock the players he wants( which he probably shouldn’t) then why keep him? We’ll just finish mid table with 0 long term progress

How hasn't he given Warnock the players he wants? Ikpeazu, Crooks, Lumley, Peltier? Bamba if he signs?

He's got his target man, he's got his big versatile midfielder, he's got his experienced defenders that he's worked with before.

Club is an absolute *** mess behind the scenes, nobody knows what is going on, Gibson is trying to sign exciting players that Warnock doesn't really want or know how to work with.

Can't see us going up this season, hell I'd be surprised if we managed to finish mid-table.

I mean so far he's tried to sign a combative box to box midfielder (which is exactly what Warnock likes) and a strong, physical striker with strength and pace (again what he likes) who he specifically said "we are disappointed" about not getting.

It's not like he's out signing 5'4 Brazilian wing backs who clearly wouldn't fit a Warnock style of play.

Think this is a really reactive and inaccurate take on the situation.

Rodrigo Muniz is costing Fulham up to £8mill and 20% sell on, that is a fair whack

I'm quite glad we didn't end up getting drawn into spending that sort of silly money.

He says, knowing full well Muniz will score the winner against us first day of the season and get sold for 40m when they get promoted off the back of him netting 30 goals.
