Come on let's be fair he usually misses mid week games due to forgetfulness

Favourable teasing results last night but Hull will think the same as Boro.
Probably a bridge too far but a Boro win tonight will sure make it interesting.

Bang average seems extremely harsh. Anyone regardless of position leading the league or being up there for chance creation and assists is having a very good season. Frail defensively sure but his attacking qualities for us were hugely important, think it gets lost in the sauce of how good chuba was and how impressive archer looked but Giles was one of the most important players in that side.
All players are bang average once they decide that Boro is not for them!😉

I see Ayling has 4 assists in 15 games for us which is equivalent to Giles over a whole season. Those 4 assists have also coincided with our unbeaten run. It very much looks like Ayling took half a dozen games to get up to speed and adapt to our system. Since then he has arguably been one of our most consistent players. I don't know if he could keep it up for a whole season next season but if Carrick thinks he can it's starting to look like a 2 year contract for him would allow us to concentrate elsewhere or maybe bring in a development project who would have time to actually develop. I do think managers overrate the importance of experience but it is important and it would give us an experienced spine of Dieng, Smith, Ayling, Lenihan, Fry, Clarke, [Howson]. If we also signed O'Brien then we have plenty of top quality championship experience. I had been thinking that we should keep Smith or Ayling but not both however Ayling's form over the last 4-6 weeks makes me think that maybe we can just treat that position as looked after for another season.
My theory is that we will have a transfer budget of around £20m in the summer plus whatever money comes in from sales. That's £10m or so from Rogers and Crooks and £10m from Gibson's wallet. That's still not a lot compared to parachute clubs and we don't want to have to stretch it too far. If we want to shop in the quality section of the market in the summer, that's 3 players max so using Ayling as a sticking plaster at right back for a season has merit. Between him and Smith we ought to be able to see out the season.
I never understood the hype surrounding Giles yes he had a few moments but he was bang average at best during his time with us.
Perhaps we just missed having wingers in our squad so anyone who could cross the ball and had some pace suddenly became a firm favourite.
We have seen his progress since he left and his departure from Luton who obviously did not rate him.

Our little unbeaten run could come to an end here so at this time I will gladly get a point from this as I said at this time.
Hull will want to come at us right from the off and if we can play very direct a them we could cause an upset time will tell.
Deffo a RB game I take it?

Please, don't make me watch that again 🤣🤣🤣
Also remember they are called highlights so to get 2 mins out of a 90 min game without seeing the rest sounds good to me.
It really was the Latte Lath show

Have to be honest and say, at Leeds, I really disliked him. Obviously, that's natural, but he has done well after the first 5 games or so for us. I may be coming around to signing him .
If he continues to offer something for the team then yes why not?

Just remembering all that debate over whether that Norwich game would give us a confidence boost, well it definately looks like it did!
It has been a good run but it did not feel as if we were playing with too much confidence in fact quite shy at times
