I loved Adama, however he does currently play for a team that has a game plan and are very decent going forward, but he still tries to do the same thing and I think that’s why he doesn’t get used much.

I think we’ll only be after a striker if we can shift Gestede. Think we might end up getting Lowe, but not as confident we’ll be be able to get Dijksteel, sounds like Charlton will only let him leave if the offer is one they definitely can’t turn down...and I don’t think we’re in a position to do that.

From the couple of friendlies I’ve watched Reading looks very decent. Gets forward, puts a decent cross in and covered well.

To be fair even George Friend said in his interview with Northern Echo (I think) that we need to add the right players to play the way Woodgate wants to play. Im assuming the way Woodgate wants to play is the way the club wants us to play in the future (regardless of who the manager is), so if we’re trying for the right player for the way we are aiming to play then fair enough I don’t mind the wait. Rather that than just getting any name in simply because we’re short in that area. Because of this I think we will be turning to loan with option to buy deals especially for you

I’d take Adomah on a free. And I think the club would too. I’d even give him the 3 years at 15k-20k if that’s what it was. What other experienced player (in a position we desperately need someone) would you get for under 2.5-3million over 3years? He’s easily still got 60 min in him with a younger player (who’ll be on pennies) as back up. My my guess is the problem is all the agent fees, signing on fee, bonus etc that are the issue...

Hopefully it’s just a case of giving the green light to sign players after Woodgate, Keane & Leo have personally assessed the youth. Teams have been working on their signings for months and months and surely we’re no different regardless of who the manager was going to be. If not I can’t see us with many new faces as we won’t be wanting to pay the inflated panic buy prices.

Every time Pulis said something reasonably positive about Braithwaite it was always followed by “I only want players that want to play for MFC” the same way he was about Britt - he’d score but he’d always say he needs to be more clinical or similar. He never just praised he always had to get a little dig in. And I did see it as a dig when I watched/read his interviews. Whilst I don’t think Braithwaite will be here in a few months time, I’m sure whoever is here Woodgate and Keane will give them the confidence behind the scenes to succeed on the pitch.
