Even if I lived in the UK I wouldn't be able to go on a regular basis. The whole match day experience is far to expensive for anyone on a fixed income to attend on a frequent basis. The last match I went to was in 1999 and that cost me over 100 quid even then. The only way that it could be done would be for me to become a steward.

Well. the thing that strikes me about this thread is that nobody has mentioned the loyalty of Stewart Downing and it is with great credit that he re-signed with us enabling us to receive a huge transfer fee, unlike some of the incumbents that have recently left the club.

Well that's not quite right is it? JC inherited a very good squad and it was basically Stan Anderson's outfit whom by his own admission could not motivate the team any further and so resigned. And JC also made some appalling buys in his time too.
