  1. DunblaneWolf. You don't need the points so please hand them over on Friday night, cos we need them :) and if you can have a word with Ikeme to let a couple in out of respect for his former loan club, we'd appreciate it :) All the best (after Friday ;) )
  2. I had hoped after a good season in the Premier League with West Ham and a drop down in division, returning to his boyhood club, he would be the catalyst for the promotion push but he has been a big let down at that fee especially. He's got 13, possibly 16 games to put that right
  3. Well, my boss is a Wolves fan, so losing is not an option and neither is drawing really. He says they are woeful at the back and hate being hustled and harried as they make a lot of mistakes at the back, so it got me to thinking that Nugent's energy would be preferable to Rhodes, but i'd say this is a game where two up front should work, but what would that mean for Ramirez? Not sure all three could play as it could throw the shape. Certainly think there will be plenty of chances on Friday and it will be down to the strikers to put some away. I can see a similar performance to that
  4. Not how I wanted my first match night on this board to end but we're still in a decent position and it's The Championship - anything can happen. Many more twists and turns to come, hopefully starting with defeat for Hull on Thursday.
  5. All over. Have to pick ourselves up for Wolves on Friday. Becomes a must win to keep up the pressure at the top (after hopefully Hull drop points on Thursday) and also because work on Saturday with my boss will be unberable if we don't win.
  6. Goal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 2-1 Too late?
  7. 49% possession away from home, created numerous chances....i'm clutching at straws and trying to remain upbeat but we really do need to start putting away some of these chances, although I appreciate i'm being obvious.
  8. Praying this is MK Dons all over again and Rhodes gets an equaliser.
  9. We're on top and have a dangerous free kick...come on!
  10. 11 shots off target, 2 shots on target. Spot the problem. Rhodes has to come good sooner or later. It's early days for him.
  11. Ramirez for Downing. Downing's not done enough of late, so this is a positive move.
  12. Suddenly a point looks like a good result if we can get it.
  13. To be honest I think it was partially to go against what Blackburn were planning as I think they changed their system when we played them at home. To be honest we cant really complain as a lot of fans wanted 2 up front based on what has been written on the forums and facebook etc. I think I would give this team another 10minutes then probably swap Ramirez for Nugent or Rhodes depending who is offering more. I'd have preferred the two up top in a home game to start with rather than away, especially at someone like Blackburn. Always feel some away games should be 4-4-1-1 with support from m
  14. Any reason Nugent and Rhodes are both playing tonight? Not the usual AK way and with Wolves on Friday, who my Wolves fan boss says can't defend and hate being hustled, i'd have thought Nugent would have been made sure to be 100% for that one, although he may have great fitness anyway, and if Blackburn are bossing the midfield, i'd have thought it ideal to play the extra man in midfield tonight and closely mark Jordi Gomez. Hope i'm proved wrong and both the top boys score now.
  15. Thanks I'm Yeovil, so a few miles from WSM.
  16. 45% possession so far which isn't horrific for an away side and Boro just the one shot so far but none for Blackburn.
  17. 2-1 Don't know the starting line up but think Stuani and whoever plays up top, Nugent or Rhodes, will score and Jordi Gomez will score another free kick for them. Will be tense and the winner will come in the last 10 minutes.
  18. Well that's some title you have got think I will refer you as Dave :) Welcome to the forum and we do have a couple of active forum members from your neck of the woods. Enjoy your time and try the match day threads as it is the next best thing to actually being there :D I didn't know what to call myself :) Dave is fine :P Oh good, I hope they introduce themselves to me  I was watching the MK Dons one two weeks ago living the thread without interacting and having Sky Sports News on and Bet365 watching the 'commentary' - Middlesbrough attack - Middlesbrough dangerous at
  19. Hello all Registered yesterday after looking in for a short while - not a huge message board person but thought yesterday would be a good say to sign up considering the history and the fact we only get a Feb 29th every 4 years! Estranged Boro fan all the way down in Somerset, but support from afar and hope one day to return so I can cheer from closer to home, but poor health currently restricts me a***st other things. Met a couple of Boro fans who came into my hardware shop when they were in town for the Yeovil match in May 2014, but my boss wouldn't let me have the day off :-( Would
