Listen guys. Pulis knows what the fans want and will deliver it. He told us last week. Don't worry. Its gonna be ok.
Thought I'd do the optimistic Boro thing for a second.
Back to normal. Can Mr pulis please *** off asap please.
Well the Albion fans who now are loudly chanting
*YOUR FOOTBALL IS $HIT, YOUR FOOTBALL IS $HIT, YOUR FOOTBALL IS $HHHHHHIT.
TONY PULIS YOUR FOOTBALL IS $HIT!!*
they seem to have unique perspective of our current predicament.

wrong Boro who showed up for the second half.....
Indeed...... :crying:
-
Please don't use that word on here. You won't get another warning.
Who, Tom and what word?
Who = Tony Pulis, and what word? = $*** Football :P

Wait what, what the actual living *** was that whole thing then?! Wing wins the ball, breaks away, gets the free kick given for him for some reason, then what, gets booked for dissent?
Yeah sitting here thinking the same thing....Guess the Refs taken a liking to us.

Hugill's dive was blatant, lucky he didn't get a yellow to be honest.
I'm glad I wasn't the only one that saw it that way. Had he kept his footing it could have been an interesting start of an attacking move support was coming his way. Having said that he has had a decent 1st half, can't fault his application.

Albion fans singing "Tony Pulis your Football is *** "
Are they singing his football ha 3 stars? :D
***
I think their Chant went something like
"Tony Pulis your Football is *$hit*, Tony Pulis your Football is *$hit*, Tony Pulis your Football is *$hit*, Tony Pulis your Football is *$hit*"
It tends to repeat itself after the 1st few lines.....creative bunch.

Albion fans singing "Tony Pulis your Football is *** "

So far our fans have been nothing but vocal and supportive.....

I'm one of Adam Claytons biggest fans and still don't think he was the problem in our team, but holy crap Mikel is a class above. You can see he's not quite as sharp as he could be, he's a second late to a few things but he already looks so much better than anyone else on the pitch IMO.
I can't agree with you more, Thus far Mikel's forward passing has been on point.

Dam mate Ayala making runs into the final 3rd.....more of that please !!!

after our 6-0 victory, we will be above them in the table
I'm going for a more conservative 5-5.
Edit : Also anyone else notice a White Giant Dishwasher walking around the hawthrones pitch ?
It's a combi boiler.
Honestly.
It really is.
I want that boiler now! :funny:

Pulis actually has a son who is a manager btw (;
It could be a rebellious son who went off the rails and only plays fluid attacking football although his 1-0-9 formation has mixed results.
Sounds intriguing....But I am a TP fanboy through and through. Can't wait for till the gaffer can get his players and setup his revolutionary Formation for the world to see, people may laugh now ... but Time will judge the man, I sure believe he believes this will come good.
**Disclaimer** since TP has become my gaffer I seem to only communicate with sarcasm. Otherwise I might blow my bloody head off........
One up front? A bit ambitious isn't it?
Thats the revolutionary tactic mate, It isn't a player it is an actual "TREE', we plant the sapling before the game and watch it grow for 90 mins, It will become the most accelerating part of the Formation. Thus we can all stop the boos like Clayton said and get behind the lads or 'The Tree'. Either ways its full-proof.

I know it'll never happen but if it was down to me I'd get rid now.
I'm happy to write the season off if it means we get the right man in for next season.
The season tickets will go on sale again in about 8 weeks and I think when they see how many fans aren't bothering for next season that'll be the end for Pulis.
I've got no intention of buying a season ticket to watch this type of football anymore, I'm on the verge of jacking it in this season.
Keeping him isn't writing the season off...? We scraped what was it, 2 wins, 1, in December during an easy run of fixtures?
His few remaining supporters will get a shock when we play the likes of WBA and Leeds in the next few weeks, considering we cannot even keep clean sheets against bottom half sides anymore despite setting up more negatively than ever.
The season is over for me but I think in Gibson's head he'll be clinging on to the hope that we scrape into the playoffs and go up that way.
I would sack him now and try and sell half a dozen players to balance the books. That would give a new manager a better starting point in the summer.
and what a fool he is, given our current league position.... :eggplant:
I think we are mistaking the Accountant's Hopeful Positive Balance Sheet for Football.
we either treat Boro as a Football Club or Boro as a cold profit/loss making business. I know which one I fell in love with.
-
Hes(TP) had his sell by date, they' (opposition) have got used to the football we play. We can't defend no more, which was how our game was built on. We got no one in midfield who works with each other and obviously we can't score goals."
That sure sounds familiar...
It can also make one wonder on all this talk about a disappointing Summer Transfer Window and how none of TP's preferred targets wanted to sign unless on a massively inflated contract considering the utter joy they would have to endure playing under him and his worldclass catenaccio. The club probably didn't want to back TP come what may and pay the wages. That whole Strachan thing might have brought up a few things.
Now TP is on the horn in the press taking credit for making the club $30 million in the summer, looks like he wants his summer transfer promise fulfilled in January. Goodness knows what will happen if he doesn't end up signing his preferred targets.

This video of West Brom fans reacting to Tony Pulis's sacking.
Everyone of them just echo our current statements to a T
I have transcribed a couple of them
"Why would he play a Striker on the Wing?"
"When we played football we defended all the while and it wasn't nice to watch, after paying all the money like"
or my favorite
"Hes done a good job the first year(keeping them in the PL), but he is too set in his ways to change. But he(TP) has done the job the board brought him to do when they first put him onboard (Avoid PL relegation).
Hes(TP) had his sell by date, they' (opposition) have got used to the football we play. We can't defend no more, which was how our game was built on. We got no one in midfield who works with each other and obviously we can't score goals."

I still can't quite fathom where all this hatred of Pulis has stemmed from, cos the reason we're playing bad is for legitimate and explainable reasons. We failed on all fronts to sign any wingers or attacking players in the summer. Sold Adama and Bamford and didn't replace them - not for the want of trying. I'm pretty sure if you look back, Pulis was fuming about the club's failure to secure any of the players he wanted.
So it's not like TP is presenting this current football as his dream scenario - it's a means to an end to get us to Jan when we can hopefully address the woefully lop-sided squad we have. And tbh, to be grinding games out like we are and to still be in 5th.. if anything, he's done a pretty good job to get us there.
Pulis wants his wingers or attacking players cause he can recreate his successful blueprint from his West Brom team.
watch it then tell me you will be excited when he builds that at boro, its not like West Brom are competing for europe under that system once it turned stale and he left...Even the best case scenario is halfbaked and undercooked.

when results don't go his way He simply doubles down and training under that atmosphere would be very functional with any element of fun and creativity removed root and stem at the training ground in favor of an effective functional Catenaccio featuring a 6 man defensive block and a 4 man attack**,
Tbh this matches exactly what a wba fan said, he said when things don’t go to plan he plays even more negative than you ever thought possible
And why would he change it has always brought him success in the PL for all those successful years (Manager of the Year) and having never been relegated and all. But sadly we have found out to our displeasure this TP success formula only works in the delicate scenario of wanting to aviod PL relegation, all be it at the cost of entertainment or some might say 'football' but then again riches of the PL is so much more than just Football.
That all said We seem to have overlooked/underestimated the Promotion part of the equation hoping that the second division football hadn't changed much since TP last won promotion in 2007. I mean it worked for the Italians they've only won 4 world cups.
George Burley and Alan Pardew won manager of the year too, Roberto De Mateo achieved promotion with West Bromwich - all playing a more entertaining brand than Pulis but would anyone have them here? I don't care what Pulis has achieved in the past - it's what he's dishing up here and to compare his style of Football with Italy - well I don't know whether to laugh or cry
I whole heartedly agree with you, sometimes my sarcasm gets lost in translation :P
