  1. Been watching "Lion" (2016), a film about an Indian boy who was adopted by an Aussie couple when he was 5yo and about his return to India 25 years later in search of his roots. A remarkable film made all the more remarkable by the fact that it's a true story. I watched on Kodi and I needed subtitles for the early part about how the boy came to be adopted. It's well worth the effort, though, and it's got Nicole Kidman, too.
  2. I've never seen X Factor. Am I blessed?
  3. Game of Thrones concludes next week and I reckon lots of us will be joining you, except we'll be watching it second time around. I have never re-watched a TV series before, so it'll be a first for me. Mind you, I do quite fancy starting Breaking Bad all over again.
  4. Decent stream for the Swansea match: http://www.usagoals.me/c/football/2157611/1/swansea-city-vs-manchester-united-live-stream/
  5. I do not feel impoverished in the slightest by the loss of this particular national treasure.

  7. Yeah, Braithwaite hammy but not something to worry about because it's an unusual type of injury for him.

  9. If you're talking about the Premier League FF competition I think you'll find that all is well after their next update.
  10. Very impressed by Man Utd's performance today, Dunno if West Ham were overwhelmed because they were ill-prepared and disorganised or because Utd were simply overwhelming. Time will tell, of course, but I'm off to look at the betting

  13. There have been some good recommendations in this thread. Now here's one to avoid: Midnight Special is the worst load of utterly nonsensical crap that I've seen in a long time. I don't know why I watched it through to its anticlimactic conclusion because I really didn't care what happened to any of the characters, least of all little bright eyes.
  14. Thank you, Humpty. Match reports are a great service to those of us who can't attend.
  15. Someone on here used to stream the local radio broadcast using an on line gaming lobby, or something like that. Never needed it myself but it worked for anyone outside BBC Tees broadcast range, including distant fans like our Canadian friend. My memory is awful but Aphex Boro might have been the clever and very helpful streamer.
  16. Decent Sunderland stream: http://www.usagoals.me/c/football/2137644/2/sunderland-vs-derby-county-live-stream/
  17. Sounds to me like he has been here, done this and got the team shirt already.
  18. I think ^^these two guys^^ must be advertising something but they've forgotten to mention the web site. It might be this: https://fantasyfootball.telegraph.co.uk/championship/home This is the Daily Telegraph's new Championship FF competition. They have run Premier League FF for years but this is the first time they've covered the Championship. It appears to be structured in a similar fashion to the Sky FF competition: £50m to spend on 11 players, transfers capped at 40 annually and 5 per week.
  19. Thanks. A Sunderland v Derby H Bristol City v Barnsley A Burton v Cardiff H Fulham v Norwich H Ipswich v Birmingham A Preston v Sheff Wed A QPR v Reading H Sheff Utd v Brentford A Wolves v Middlesbrough (Ayala) H Aston Villa v Hull

We luv your Pek, though. :D
  21. SPOILER, SPOILER, SPOILER I've watched all of the first series and it's a very classy production. They have laid the groundwork for at least two more seasons with the introduction of new suspects, although John Turturro is so central to everything that maybe they won't be gong in that direction at all. Says a lot for the show that it's got me intrigued enough to speculate like this. Something that really jarred, however, was the total absence of any "blood-spatter" evidence - where's Dexter when you need him? They stripped Khan at the station and that was the last we saw of his apparen
  22. Raf smog, this needs advertising on the main forum. It would also be a good place to remind last season's paid leaguers that they need to pay up, if they haven't already. I'm sure that a single thread won't raise any objections over there, right Maccarone? ;)
