  1. Leeds United have signed midfielder Vurnon Anita on a three-year deal following his release by Newcastle. Anita made 155 appearances for Newcastle after signing from Ajax in July 2012, but was released in June. The 28-year-old, capped four times by the Netherlands, featured in 27 league games last season to help the Magpies win the Championship title. Anita is Leeds' fourth signing of this transfer window, after deals for Felix Wiedwald, Mateusz Klich and Hadi Sacko.
  2. Keep calm and carry on until Bausor returns from holidays
  3. If Howson is allowed a free role further up behind a front two he can be very effective, however the reason he has never consistently played at a higher level is because he can be largely anonymous and struggle to find consistent form. I could see a very good partnership with Clayton as was the case earlier in his career. He is definitely the right type of character and personality we need in The Championship
  4. http://www.nottinghampost.com/britt-assombalonga-can-be-a-50m-player-and-nottingham-forest-must-keep-him-says-kenny-burns/story-30419793-detail/story.html
  5. Orta wants Felix Wiedwald from Bremen, highly rated GK.
  6. Had to laugh at the story I read about Sunderland earlier in the week regarding new ownership: "TV production company run by fanatical Sunderland supporters which envisages offering the former England defender Tony Adams a key role at the club"
  7. Wont be too impressed if we are going to pay inflated prices for players who could not secure a playoff position last season. It seems like lazy journalism to me but we will wait and see.
  8. I wont be sad to see Traore go, especially considering he will have had 4 clubs within a couple of years and has yet to improve as a footballer. I am disappointed we never attempted something different with him and played him up front
  9. Interesting to see a lot of comments in the nationals saying he is not the right fit, Pearson a better choice and he is a limited manager with no Plan B. Could be a lot of bitter Leeds fans.
  10. This may be coming out of left field but Leeds fan saying Monk is being lined up for Burnley and he is waiting on developments with Dyche to Palace. Gibson better hurry up as any movement with managers could have a domino effect and we miss out on targets
  11. Hartlepool just appointed Craig Harrison didn't they? Yes, Agnew would be his Assistant.
  12. Hartlepool should go in for Agnew. Would be a massive paycut :D
  13. We held talks with Pearson just after Karanka. http://www.gazettelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/middlesbrough-approached-nigel-pearson-aitor-12751566
  14. Only Gibson and Agnew know who it is. All will be revealed.
  15. You would think Agnew would do the honourable thing and step aside or move into the background for the good of the club.
  16. Hopefully at one of Gibbos up and coming dinner parties Gary Gill, Agnew, Chris Kamara and Keith Lamb can collectively come to an agreement and get someone in and conclude this charade.
  17. Leeds fan told me Karanka had an interview at Leeds and was conditionally offered the job but has decided to wait as he also had an interview at Crystal Palace (Parish rates him and offered him an opportunity to manage them before he came to Boro) and 1 La Liga club. Kyle Bartley wants to work with Monk again at his next club.
  18. I had this feeling with someone experienced as Director of Football.
  19. Concerned if Monk accepts Agnew as part of the set up for Gibson and for whatever reason there is a split in the camp between Monks new players and those loyal to Agnew it wont effect morale.(Monk must fully trust Agnew and not be concerned he is there for Gibson and seeking his job)
  20. Fabrizio Ravanelli wants to become Middlesbrough's next manager and has asked chairman Steve Gibson to call him. Steve Agnew, who was appointed interim head coach after Aitor Karanka's departure in March, has held discussions with Gibson about next season but speculation persists that Garry Monk or Nigel Pearson could be appointed. 'I was very disappointed to see Middlesbrough relegated, for the club, for the fans, for everybody,' Ravanelli said. 'But now it is important to start again. The club must show a lot of ambition because Middlesbrough has the potential to finish in the top

  22. Yet when the players were more expressive and pushed forward seeing how poor Swansea were he labelled it the "worst performance" of the season. http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/38353472
  23. Maybe he didn't fancy it with so little time left and an almost guaranteed relegation. 1 point from survival and 11 games left. A rebuilding job in The Championship over 46 games is a much harder proposition.
  24. We could have had Hiddink post Karanka and been able to offer a bigger incentive or bonus for delivering survival. What has changed since then?
