Can already hear Warnock at the press conference unveiling talking about Sporar.
”Worrah playeh, realleh. Eel d’ fer meh, honest leh”

Mounié was offered by an agent Warnock has had dealings with in the past through Cardiff. I was told he is on a list but no movement yet as he is not a priority. I remember him having a reputation before Huddersfield but was playing in a struggling team.

The Premier League striker on loan was mentioned a few pages back. Question remains if he would be fit enough after a serious injury in April while out on loan but surgery and recovery has been expedited.

All these Cerri puns without seeing him in a Boro shirt may be Tosun.

We have a weird relationship with Sunderland and a strange fascination with being linked to their players. Wouldn’t surprise me if Wyke and McGeady came here this summer

Think Warnock will be given free reign in the summer on incoming players, Gibson wont forget he kept us up last year. I expected him to walk during the season if things went sideway and with COVID pandemic given his age. Expect there will be a number of players outgoing in the summer. There was some talk on forums that he wants Freddie Ladapo in the summer and will use Lewis Wing as part of a deal.

Typical Boro

I was laughed at when I said Warnock may take early retirement before the end of the season. Still think it’s a possibility if results slide.

I have a feeling Warnock may walk before the end of the season. A mutual announcement relating to the risk of Warnock travelling from Cornwall with his age and the associated health risk. Liddle as an interim for the remainder of the season or a direct appointment if someone is available.

For the decision I don’t understand if the referee stopped the game during the goal kick or for the injury. Reminiscent of the horror tackle on Ramirez against Brighton. I am sure the referee was going for the Yellow card until he saw Gastons sock pulled up. If the referee sees after the incident the blood coming from the eye then he can easily reverse the decision.

We need Grant Hall back soon or an experienced brick shouse at the back. Felt we were soft at times today

A younger Thai copy of Gibson post Karanka era.

Agree with the sentiments regarding Woodgate and his eye for talent. When he was a player at Tottenham he would spend time with scouts at the club reviewing data and analysis and actually give them recommendations. There were a number of U19 players that he recommended to Liverpool that are now playing at the top level in Europe.
Interested to know what Bevingtons full remit was as Head of Recruitment Operations as his background was a Reporter and PR/Communications.

What club have avoided relegation by the skin of their teeth on the last day of the season and then been tipped from promotion the following season after losing a number of players out of contract?
This is a season of consolidation.

Not sure how realistic it would be as I haven’t followed his progress but Vinagre is for sale by wolves. Potential left back?
Wolves are unlikely to lose Ruben Vinagre to FC Porto this window, with reports claiming the Liga NOS champions are unlikely to be able to afford the full-back.
Portuguese outlet Record claims the 21-year-old should prove too expensive for Porto, with Wolves officials apparently seeing him as a big asset.

I really wanted an Arteta or a Van Bronkhurst when Pulis left. I can see former was now bit ambitious but you get the idea.
Michael Reiziger for me given he had already come to the club once and had been through, coached and managed the Ajax Youth Academy. There was talk he was looking to come to Europe but he has now been promoted to Assistant Manager at Ajax.

WBA fans warned us about him, he genuinely did destroy us. Our squad has never been so imbalanced
You wouldn't think so with the glowing reference from SG.

How much did he spend in that period? And did he leave both clubs in a better or worse position?
£18.36m at Boro (Profit of £32.64m)
£113.4m at WBA (Loss of £75.41m)
Worse on both counts.

Within a 4 year period of being manager at WBA and Boro, Pulis brought in around £89 million in player sales. Thats a staggering number when you consider the relative size of the clubs.

If Pep was the coach everyone says he is then he would be drilling the back 4 and coaching them how to defend the counter attack. He just buys players who are or close to the finished article.

On strikers. Our problem has not necessarily been strikers - we’ve had lots of class strikers over the time period mentioned, from Yakubu, Hasslebaink, Viduka, Boksic to poachers with good record like Rhodes, Boyd and Britt. The issue has been - and continues to be - creating good chances. How many class attacking midfielders have we had in the past decade? Look how the correlate with our goals scored. With Rav we had Juninho, with Ricard we had Gazza (almost got an England recall), and with Bamford we had Tomlin/Ramirez. Most of the time we have not had a true attacking midfielder - maybe excluding Zenden (who was class but didn’t contribute as many goals/assists as I thought).
We desperately need to take a chance on an attacking player who actually creates chances, can dribble and takes men out of the game. They are rare and cost money, but it’s better to have one that raises the value of the players around you - rather than keep buying expensive strikers and selling them for a massive loss when they suddenly (and apparently surprisingly) stop scoring when they get few chances.
Marcus Maddison posted the below on Instagram today. We know Warnock likes a gamble with the likes of Taraabt and El Hadj Diouf. He could be just the person Marcus needs in his life to turn it around and be our outlet.
marcusmaddison11 27 today 🥳 but can’t mask the fact that this year has been the worst of my life. No goals achieved, my best friend died 🐕😭, love life non existent ☠️ & now Jobless 🤷🏼♂️. So happy birthday To myself & knowing next year can’t be any worse surely 🤔🤨 #mm11 #birthday #inspire #life#job #dad #dog
