Maybe its just me but this Ben Gibson melodrama is all starting to turn out a little bit sad and not in a good way for either Boro, Burnley or Ben. Hopefully he pulls his big boy pants on and soon.
Listened to the High Performance Podcast with Sean Dyche on Youtube where he talks about his philosophy and demands of players at Burnley. Its hard to believe there is an issue between him and Gibson considering the latter was thought of as a leader when he was here and it’s what Dyche looks for when signing players (Mentality, background, attitude, mannerisms etc)

Neil Cox just appointed manager of Scunthorpe......hope he does better than the last local lad put in charge of his hometown club....
What is the general consensus of Neil Cox as a player here? Thought he was solid in Division 1 but struggled with the step up in the Premiership .

Can’t believe Jordan Rhodes just turned 30 in February. Feels like he has been around for ages. Not for us as a signing but 109 goals in the Championship and will do well somewhere. Not a bad option for the last 15 minutes when chasing a game. Often gets criticized that’s it’s like playing with 10 men when he doesn’t score after starting.

Off topic but Braithwaite linked in Mundo Deportivo to Everton and West Ham.

Who are Hoorn and Hoog @Ayresome7? You referring to the Swansea CB and Jonathan Hogg of Huddersfield?
That’s what I was told. I think latter has another year on his contract or at least a trigger extension. Has family around Eston. Real competitive midfielder, leader in Hudds team.

Never understand the fuss with Eddie Howe. Spent over 200 Million since he got Bournemouth promoted

Why would we sign a 17 year old CB on loan?
We've already got an 18 year old CB who has played for England youth, who can't get a game even when every CB is injured.
That’s if the post above about the Wolves prospect was true, could be another Wolves defender?
There is interest in Hoorn and Hogg though.

Interesting if the interest in Luke Matheson is concrete. He will play for England but at 5’6 he may not suit Warnocks style.

Feels like in recent years the shirts promote the gambling company more than the team you actually support.

Anthony O'Connor was watched during Woodgate's time . Bradford City. One of the stand out players for Aberdeen in 17/18 season when they finished 2nd-place finish behind Celtic. Big defender who is a threat from corners.
Personally I wouldnt mind Maya Yoshida at Southampton who is coming back from Sampdoria on loan. Out of contract.

Phil Jagielka is another good shout. He became out of contract on July 4th and is one of Warnocks previous lieutenants to marshal the back line.

What a result for both Swansea and Barnsley, latter certainly being a great escape.

Best league in Europe for entertainment?

QPR winning against West Brom. Brentford now in Autos.

Karanka is being linked with Valencia. Birmingham have 25m to spend after the sale of Bellingham. Interesting if Ayala follows him there with Clayton.

I cant imagine the Evening Gibson would appreciate Pearson calling Anthony Vickers an Ostrich after questioning Pearsons selection on a Zoom call.

Happy to move McNair on. Has shown glimpses of promise and many say he is a potential Premier League player but I wasnt a fan of his signing to begin with off the back of 2 successive relegation's with Sunderland. If Stoke are interested then it shows his level and ours.

What I loved about the first goal was having 4 players in the box and 3 lurking around it and for the 2nd having 5 players in the box.

I dont think people realize that next season with the amount of turnover of players we very well could be looking at another relegation battle in the Championship if we manage to stay up this year.

Appointing Woodgate was a big mistake but allowing him to stay in charge over the COVID pandemic shutdown and then sacking him after 1 match back is absolutely criminal.

Hull look dangerous. Could see them doing a smash and grab late at the Hawthorns.

Modern day and a different selection in Marten De Roon but utilized to his strengths and best position. Remarkable we came up from the Championship and managed to sign a player who a few years later would now be playing a starring role in the UEFA Champions League latter stages.
