Apologies if this has been discussed already, but hopefully someone can explain. Why wouldn't Southampton loan Bojan to us? My understanding is that the player wanted a loan because of our uncertain future and Southampton wanted a permanent deal. Yet he went on loan to Mainz? Southampton were therefore clearly okay with a loan deal, so why not let him come to us with an option to buy if we stay up? All parties would have been satisfied. I'm not going into sulk mode because of the disappointing window, I just don't get it.

It's now in both the team's and Gaston's interests for him to get into gear. No point in him sulking and not playing. Just hope he and Karanka see it that way.
