There would seem to be a severe shortage of good strikers available anywhere, even Prem teams are struggling to get them with all their wealth........It really isnt a surprise to me that we are struggling to get one that meets our requirements!

While there is a chance then I dont think that we really give up, but I think that given the way that this season has panned out mainly due to injuries, it wouldnt be prudent to throw a load of money at final push........Carrick knows this as well as anyone and wont walk based on that!

Does it actually say that the bid was £7.5m, or does it say that it's believed to be £7.5m? If its the latter then you have to ask if that's just speculation again. The whole Rogers transfer saga is speculation based on the only fact we can be certain of which is that Villa have bid for Rogers.

He was only injured when he came to us where he missed 2 games, the second injury he was scythed down by a Norwich player for running rings round them on that left side and winding up the away fans!.....hardly grounds to be classed as injury prone with us, granted I dont know anything about his current injury with Burnley and whether its recurring or not!

Its much worse than that! Lets sell a player for £xxm and loan him back, then the parent club of that player buy back a player they sold and then sell him to us for less as part of the deal..........absolutely preposterous!!!

Hackney won't be going anywhere in the summer! He strikes me as a lad that is as level headed as his manager, hes not driven by ego and is at the right age to know what Carrick has done and knows. He can still learn a lot from Carrick and as long as we keep hold of our manager we have a good chance to keep hold of Hackney!
