  1. Jones has done nothing for a while now. Yes he does cause problems, but he needs to switch on for longer than he does in the games. Muniz could do with a break too, he is a good player but I think he could benefit from a break.
  2. Exactly, and tomorrow is against a team that will be no push overs either. So do I expect a 3 nil win for us? No 1 nil will do. Get the points and wins back regain confidence and belief and things will start to look better.
  3. One of those wins was under Leo too. Look I am worried about relegation ofcourse but I'm not sure even a new manager would manage to turn us around that quickly either. It's the same group of players that played under Wilder, except Hackney and Hoppe. Leos trying players some of the fans asked to see get a chance. Maybe with Leo's attitude he might get more from the players instead of throwing them under the bus with every opportunity.
  4. I'm not being funny but I really can't see us getting promotion this season, this squad is better than they have been playing so relegation shouldn't really be a worry, it is at the moment ofcourse but being positive I don't think we will be relegated, no matter what the Jew says..
  5. You would think there would be an interview panel which would include Scott, and Bauser.
  6. I'm starting to warm to the idea of letting Leo have it, atleast until the worldcup break. See how he gets on. After watching his presser I felt more confident in him. If the "right" candidate isn't available yet then atleast Leo actually wants the job, clearly has a fair bit of knowledge at his disposal. It's got to be better than letting Cattermole who is a complete novice in a coaching/management capacity.
  7. That's not always a given really. We expected to be in the playoffs with this squad this season, but we are at the opposite end of the table.
  8. Sorry I was just being silly, he has like you say had some decent jobs ( borrussia dortmund youth teams, stutgart, hamburger SK and Genk. But not lasted long at the clubs, but appears to held in high regard with their national teams.
  9. I started following in the mid nineties, and the whole buzz about the samba boys and ravanelli. I remember being linked albeit in the papers to players like Shevchenko, then the cup win and European adventures it was a great time to be a boro fan. Lately it is much less, when Gibson hired Woodgate he pretty much accepted that our place was a mid table championship team, and that's not me knocking him. That came direct from his mouth. I don't know whether his ambition had/has gone but I really thought when we went in for Wilder that we were really going to try for the premiere league this year,
  10. I'm interested in this Hannes Wolf link, it feels quite exciting. I wouldn't be disappointed with Corberan either to be honest atleast he has managerial experience and a promotion under his belt. Knows the championship too.
  11. I think we do underestimate him a little. He has been an assistant manager at two other clubs and also managed Fluminese U20s for 2 years before coming back here. So there must be some good coaching ability in there, besides the chest thumping.
  12. He is young in terms of mangers and is a highly rated tactician. Definitely would be an interesting move.
  13. You know, the amount of Scandinavian players we were linked to this summer, I half expected a Scandinavian manager to of been linked too.
  14. You look at the starting lineup, how many of them would of started last night under Wilder. Mcgree would of played behind muniz, mowatt would of started instead of Hackney, Clarke for Bola, Smith for Dijksteel. We would of played far more cautiously, and midfield would of been slow as mud again. We definitely looked nervous, but that was natural coming from poor form, confidence while under Wilder. You could see the relief on the players faces after Akpom scored. The nerves were still there at times though as you could see the players really wanted it last night. W
  15. Still alot of nerves but we do look better, Hackney a breath of fresh air in the midfield too, think he needs to get forward a bit more though.
  16. Let's hope the players do the same tonight then and we finally give a team good thrashing.
