  1. Being fair to lenihan that guy is strong as an ox.
  2. It's a non standard flight, being as you can't chose teesside Airport as a destination on their booking page.
  3. Yea I agree, it's not ideal at all, and I think that they probably expected to have moved on akpom or had made more progress in the transfer market than we have by now, but as it is we haven't and as wilder said he is contracted to mfc so if we need him we Need him. I do expect Akpom to be gone by the end of thewindow though after we bring a couple more strikers in.
  4. Yep just talk, no one really knows. All I'm saying is we only have Watmore, coburn and now Forss so there is no harm in playing him, he didn't do himself any harm against Marseille anyway.
  5. I'm sure someone mentioned that Wilder had thought about bringing Akpom back in January, but he wanted to stay out on loan. So I'd hardly say he's bombed him out. Perhaps Akpom doesn't really want to be here or atleast didn't when Warnock was here, but doesn't have any bad feeling towards the club or new manager and will give it a go, if not for us but to put himself in the shop window so to speak.
  6. But we aren't even sure if Armstrong is available, the words from the manager seems to indicate that he's in his plans for the coming season, I know things can change quickly in football, and it probably does depend on them signing a replacement, but that could very well be a deadline day deal.
  7. Watmore isn't a bad player, he works hard for the team, but sometimes can hang onto the ball a bit too long, and often misses good opportunities to set up a team mate. I'm not against him going though if it meant we replaced him with someone of better quality
  8. Not sure we do. Mcgree can be a good signing, but he's going to need to impose himself more. Hope we have someone lined up to replace that quality.
  9. We still have Bola, and hopefully sign Smith, that should be enough cover as it stands.
  10. Exactly this, and when Fry is 28 if he keeps progressing then he should be at a better standard than lenihan is now.
  11. Ah but there has been some improvements, we have improved the goalkeeping, and defence/flanks. The midfield and forwards are yet to be improved as of yet though.
  12. He could be, that's in part maybe in relation to how much we are willing to pay him, he won't be seen as a starter but an important member of the squad. He may want to be a regular starter.
  13. If the player didn't want to be here then why is he still here? If Wilder didn't want him, then he wouldn't of given him minutes in the friendlies. Has to be someone higher up, not that fussed on him. Perhaps he wants more than we are willing to spend on a player of his age. What ever it is the words coming from Wilder seems to indicate that Smith is atleast trying to win a contract here, and that Wilder would like to have him too.
  14. Muniz Liked that tweet, about us hoping to get the green light to sign him this week.

  16. agreed, couldn't care if it was made up or not, adds to the fun and excitement of the season ahead. All posters should be made to feel welcome unless they are being abusive of others.
  17. https://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/sport/20304082.middlesbrough-chris-wilder-marcus-tavernier-amid-bournemouth-interest/ Says bid is thought to be in the region of £12m
