  1. Much much better today, everyone looked fired up for the game today.
  2. The thing is Scott is on a limited budget, and will of been given a remit. Perhaps they gambled on the Carrick effect helping to bring the best out of these so called rough diamonds. I think that Carrick will be the one who will inevitably make way one way or another. He is the one picking the team sheet, the one who organises the training and so on. So he is ultimately accountable for the onfield results.
  3. He hasn't changed formation once since being here, so I'd expect it to still be 4231 as always. With mcnair as rb, vdb and lenihan, obrian as lb. Jones on the right wing with Hackney howson in the middle, with more than likely sammi can't put a foot wrong silvera on the left, with Crooksinho in the 10, and coburn up top.
  4. No idea what the lineup will be as there is no consistency, but I think we will be lucky to get a point. I can only see Southampton win this one. Hope I'm wrong.
  5. I would expect the club have to be looking at options right now, either if Carrick walks (which I doubt he would) or we plan on sacking him. We can't keep switching management styles, so I imagine it would have to be a similar sort of manager, young-ish maybe a bit more experienced than Carrick though. Possibly down the foreign route, especially if we are planning on using the foreign markets for player recruitment's.
  6. I think its because he's trying to do it on the cheap, we could of kept Akpom, and Giles but Gibson for what ever reason wasn't willing to invest in them, and wanted to cash out on Akpom. Wonder which player will be sold to cover the books next year? Probably Hackney.
  7. It's funny how they thought Engel and Silvera were upto the pace of English football but not Payero.
  8. Jones was able to push up because Delgado (I think it was) sat back because of the threat Jones pace had. It was still a back four, it looked like a three as LB is not RVB natural position and he didn't push as far forward, but probably a good thing as their RWB had a lot of pace and was a threat all night.
  9. Aye that's the boro way, tried the young progressive manager, ditch that now let's go back to the dinosaur
  10. It has to be a foreign manager probably, but who knows any more.
  11. So far it's been the worst I've seen these players play. No urgency, no pace and no idea
  12. I get that, but I think I would stick with forss down the middle just because I feel he's the best natural finisher we have in the squad just now, and I thing LL would do better coming in from wide positions, possibly from the left, onto his right foot.
  13. I'd try something a bit different and go with a 433, possibly this line up. Dieng VDB Fry Lenihan Bangura Barlaser O'brian Hackney Jones Forss Latte Lath
  14. Surely if something needs to change one of these great coaches should offer suggestions? I mean if you see something isnt working and you think you know why then you try to help I'd of thought?
  15. I can't see them getting our support, the crowd was quiet again, atmosphere looked flat. They (the players, and coaches) need to show that they can turn this around for them to get our support in my opinion. Right now I don't think they can and for what it's worth I can see a sacking in the not too distant future if things dont change, and we end up starting all over again. It's not what I want personally as I hope Carrick can turn it around. But the bad form has continued from last season. We can harp on about the replacements not being upto scratch, but this is where a good manag
  16. Should never use the loan market to get players in for essential roles, loan market really should be for squad depth, and competition. Our Alpom, Howson replacements are now loans, which we will need to replace again next season.
  17. The team looks totally disjointed there is no real harmony like their was when Carrick first came. The players are not really on the same wavelength yet, and things are just not working out. Why he left silvera on is anyone's guess, but I was hoping he'd keep izzy on and bring mcgree on for silvera. Lath looks very frustrated and knows he needs to do better, but once his confidence comes I'm sure so will the goals. Carrick really is struggling with this, I don't think he has the answers either. Let's see how it goes after the international break. But I think he won't have long once
