Dude the Chinese thing was a joke. He was joking.
Well I must of missed that, can't all be perfect.

I wonder if its a player playing in China rather than a Chinese player?

Udinese know he's not very good, right?
He will probably do alright in Italy, hope we put a sell on fee clause in.

He was and you are right but like I said at the time, money talks and us and 1 other team outbid PNE as we went in with permanent bids so they had to pull out
But if our bid isn't real then surely its only one of other.

Ngl completely baffled by the Greenwood signing. Never really rated him and can’t see him improving us. He’s unproven, young and a loan deal when we already have about 8 attacking midfielders. Screams a bit last minute desperation if I’m being honest.
It's more than likely one of players maybe on the move. Possibly send gilbert out on loan?

Hes from Sunderland isn't he? perhaps moving closer to "home"

Phew! thats good, I'm pretty sure when Carrick arrived that it was said this was to be a long haul not instant success, we just happened to have a decent upturn in form, which kinda helped gloss over that. We all want to win and win convincingly but we all know the championship well enough by now. Its a wierd league, no game is an easy game as we often find out. A couple of transfers and the mood will lift I'm sure.

I've lost track of what is going on, and find it hard to distinguish fact from fiction.
Is there actually a rumour that Carrick is to be sacked?

Unless we are planning on using Gilbert as the backup striker, maybe that's why the article doesnt mention we are in for one
Surely he would of been played there atleast once, even for a few minutes by now? He has to play against Bolton you would expect?

A slightly different question- who goes this week?
One of the two Mc's?, Payero, Coburn, Carrick 🤪

Have to disagree there John we got back to 3-2 Izzy was having a good game and causing issues and many in the crowd sensed a come back, we needed another precense up front to offer Izzy and Forss other options, we could have gone 3 at the back because at that stage it would have made no difference
Yes I agree they gave a glimour of hope, but their midfield still dominated us, and I couldn't see us getting anything from the game, especially after Smith was sent off.

We were all waiting for him to be used yesterday their fourth goal put and end to that sadly
The game was lost after their 3rd goal for me, so to me put them on, can't be any worse than the lads that were on!

I think the club have been very canny at spinning narratives recently, keeping a load of information very tight but ‘leaking’ when they want to spin a line. @diggerlad07 touched on it yesterday - we’ll probably hear about this or that player we want during the week only to be let down on Friday. I really hope I’m wrong. For what it’s worth my ‘source’ was told last week, by someone right on the inside, that we ‘want 3’
So what's the issue then? Players don't want to come? No money? No faith in current management? Manager doesn't want the targeted players?
-
Says alot about gilbert if we are still after a 10 and the lad hasn't played a minute yet.
I think we need the 10 to drop deeper and support the midfield, so like playing with 3 in there instead of the 2. But he needs to be dynamic enough to quick on the break. We don't have a chuba type striker/10 that can do what chuba did last year. So alter the position a little to make us dominate the midfield more, taking pressure off the defence.

Probably because Fry is too safe and only passes to Lenihan
Most of Frys passes are short, to either smith, Lenihan, and the midfield. Lenihan has a more mixed range he will pass it forward and switch play to the flanks too. Not knocking Fry, he does seem to stick with the safe option imo.

I like Fry a lot at this level, but he was absolutely pants today
Thats the problem when a player thinks he's undropable they tend to have more off days than good ones.
-
We just weren't good enough today. End of. Yes a couple of decisions went against us. But we need to be better in the midfield and defence. They run right through us today.

Reminds me a little of Jimmy Floyd, he's not the tallest like Jimmy but is strong and is an absolute handful.

I don't get the two keepers on the bench, surely one of the u21s could of been ok to take a place on the bench

Kiefer Moore ffs 😂 🤦♂️ it’s Carrick, not Warnock and Pulis. Not a chance we’ll sign a 31 year old on big wages that is the complete opposite of our style of play
Hes also dog muck.

Wouldn't be surprised to see greenwood used as a striker.
