Warnock did say on a previous interview that it could be 3 players in, but didn't state what position, and said I'd leave it to you (the press) to speculate. I was thinking through the game and before fry got injured that we don't have a lot of depth in defensive cover especially on the right side of defence. I didn't rate Spence as a right back before the game and still don't now.

Don't think he's ever played as a centre forward though.

I'd like to see Roberts on the right with Watmore on the left and Tav central behind Akpom. Let them 3 be quite fluid and switch positions too. Then just behind them Howson and Saville.

I think if I've read transfermarkt right vydra has played on the left wing 18 times in his career, so not really a winger more of a centre forward/ second striker. But would love him here, hard working and scores goals too.

I personally think he was signed to appease the fans, I like the lad and he can be a game changer but he doesn't offer enough in our current setup unfortunately, the wages we are paying could be used on someone who Warnock would prefer IMO

What I was thinking

In my opinion I would drop both Johnson and Spence for the next game and play both of Folarin and Watmore. Both are proper wingers unlike Johnson and Spence who have done very little other than a few fancy stepovers. Johnson is a little more effective than spence currently though. (in that he does try and get some crosses in) Spence needs to learn how to beat his man, and then get the ball into the box.
