Haha, agree on that
I like Ayling mind, think hes been very good for us & would happily see him here next seasonÂ
Like Smith he might not be at the top of heâs game playing wise but heâs leadership and organisation skills make up for it

We don't need to replace McNair as next season we will have Fry , Lenihan, VDB and Clarke. If Smith is fit, we don't need to replace Ayling - we might sign him but that's a different thing. Plus, Hackney has not left yet.
I think smith is due back before the end of the seasonÂ

Then again, he goes away, plays without any problems for 2 months. Comes back in November sometime and is then injured before he can play for us. I'm starting to think we're hosting the second season of Squid Game at Rockliffe.
Wasnât heâs loan cancelled early because he was injured?

For those who mentioned him.
If they get him on loan maybe we will try go  for Thomas Henry on loan

The club might have been waiting to see what happens tonight. If we get knocked out Rogerâs will go but if we get through he will probably stay even if itâs on loan and we might be able to attract better caliber of players with the lure  of a trip to Wembley

Villa have just recalled Kaine Kesler-Hayden. Could we be steeling another Plymouth player?

Be a bad idea if itâs Liverpool we sell too though and we both get to the final. He still wouldnât be able to play sadlyÂ
If Liverpool agree he can play against them in the finalÂ

That's not what I said. I meant carricks trust in woodgates judgement.Â
He probably thinks woodgates judgement was spot on because if we hadnât of given him a new deal we would of started the season with no LB at all

Sounds like Diengs being replaced in the Senegal squad due to his injury. Sad for him. Hopefully he's not out too long.
It sounds like heâs still got the injury thatâs kept him out of our team and Senegal are going to assess him after the game tomorrowÂ

searching about there is old articles about with the FA showing they often for younger players will cover up the suspensions and give them 6 months and constantly target them for future issues for a few years after. its kept confidential so they have a route of recovery and means to not ruin their career. but they are 6 years+ old reports and more over 10 years ago for the same practice  https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/fa-drugs-tests-bans-covered-up-13-saido-berahino-a7572756.html although looking at the data the FA are much harsher with players outside of the premier leagueÂ
yeah that don't stack up to me either.Â
the way this rumours just been framed for it to even be possible would be if it was a internal club drug test done by the club, only for the clubs benefit and internal reporting, then they don't declare it to protect their investment (not sure if they have a responsibility to declare it in this situation, but think it be optional if they were not EFL issued tests)Â
lets break it down, signed a week into July, failed a test within weeks, blacklisted since, well he was featuring in friendlies all the way through this period, would we still play them in them games? surely we would not think well he has shown he is not reliable failing a test but lets play him in friendlies to see if he worth the hassel?
then lets play devils advocate and stretch weeks to mean 1-2 months, he was all over the bench for a lot of the early matches, sure he never come on but if he failed an EFL drugs test and they covered it because of his age he would not be allowed on the bench - it would probs be a faked injury.
Secondly why would Carrick want to carry a sub he could never use if the EFL even played along? everyone probs would know about the failed test, the message it sends would bad, imagine being the player who cannot get on that bench and you know the situation, it would mess with the squads morale and at the same time possible make some players think they can get away with certain things as well, but outside of this your limiting your options with subs all the time.
Thirdly if we did cover it up - just including him within the match day squad opens him up to being randomly tested by EFL. I could see the club covering up a failed test done internally, but if you ever did, then it is crazy to put him in a situation you can easily avoid that could lead to a drugs test and a failure.
The dates are loose on this rumour, but he's involved enough during where ever it is in the first few months of him being here to think it just does not make sense to be true.
now looking at the games in the league he was part of the squad there is a clear cut off point, that happened a few months after he was here. I'm sure what his fitness status was thereÂ
Â
so if you had to pin it down on a timescale from match 6 to match 12 if he wasn't known to be injured this could be when it happened and was covered up, still seems off for me that we would only exclude him for a month, enough time tho to cover up something like coke etc, although hair testing can show it for 90 days+, you would think if you were covering it you would tell him to chop that Barnet the minute he failed, although when did he dye his hair? as bleaching it is known to interfere with these tests, so if was trying to be suspicious against him and the dates line up when he changed it that could of been a way to make sure that test could not be completed or would be discredited if it was, and body fluids testing would be clear for drugs with short half lifes in your system.
if I had to put anything on him not clicking with the first team my gut feeling is out of all the younger lads they signed he was clearly at least 1-2 years behind he others from playing for first teams. maybe they thought he would be more ready than he was to step up, but if never he would be good to bring up to first team level as seems to be a lot of positives in his reserve stats anyways. but most of the other players had picked up first team experience before we bought them
I think he just too early to be a first team player, I think with all these younger lads we have been quite lucky that most of them have been useful to the first team either as starters or squad players.Â
He came off the bench against Bradford (26/09/23) in the middle of week 6-12 so was still involved with the first team

Why canât you see Azaz happening? Out of contract in the summer, last chance for Villa to cash in and Plymouth wonât be able to afford ÂŁ2.5m, seems extremely plausible to me
I think weâre lacking experience at the back with Lenihan and Smith out. Ayling knows the league inside and out. Also, maybe the right backs we are after arenât available until the summer so a short deal till end of the season seams the most reasonable thing to do as we have no right back. Dijksteel for me not good enough and injured again, shock
Azaz signed a new contract last year so donât think he is out of contract in the summerÂ

With the state our injury levels are at, who knows how many are needed and where they are required. Worryingly I'm not so comfortable about how many and when some of these injuries are going to return either.Â
Totally understand the secrecy to a degree but if we were Shareholders we would be demanding to know what the heck is going on at Rockliffe because if a £5m signing was made what's to say that whatever we are doing isn't going to impact them negatively injury wise just a few weeks after arriving?
It not just us who have had more injuries than usual.Â
Iâve heard a few interviews with ex pros blaming it on the World Cup been in the winter throwing players training routines out of sync -
I have a way to watch most games without going on to dodgy sites. Itâs not always the best picture but removes the possibility of a virus.
I canât post it on here but happy to tell anyone whoâs interested in a PM

Do we? We just look the same to me wether he plays or not.
We have only lost 1 out of the 10 games  Coburn started in the league this season and have only won 3 of the 14 games he didnât start. Iâd say he makes a differenceÂ

Barnsley admitted that the player was ineligible. An administrative error is how they described it. Delighted for the really small teams like Horsham that they got justice and get to play in the second round. Could be massive for them in terms of income. Genuinely donât believe that Man City would be allowed play an ineligible player in the FA Cup or any other big team for that matter.

Adringa has started Brightons last 5 games, plus 2 more earlier in the season. He's firmly in their first team
I think all of them are in their first team plans. But that could change if the clubs bring in new players in January.

And still the premier league have done nothing about this.Â
Someone is getting a nice backhander.Â
A document seen by the PA news agency and dated February 28 states: "The order is an extraordinary infringement on the sovereignty of a foreign state that is far from justified here.
"The PIF and His Excellency Yasir Othman Al Rumayyan are not ordinary third parties subject to basic discovery relevance standards.
"They are a sovereign instrumentality of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and a sitting minister of the Saudi government, and they cannot be compelled to provide testimony and documents in a US proceeding unless their conduct - not LIV's or anyone else's - is truly the 'gravamen' of the case."
Â
The league's chief executive Richard Masters said in November 2021 that if his organisation found evidence there was state involvement in the running of the club the consortium could be removed as owners.

like vs sunderland we were 1 man down on the squad (which I thought was strange as why not put a kid there or the other keeper as well, but I guess he though well I'm not using them so its not an issue) and think he may of been included instead of doing that again more than being backÂ
could be wrong but think it still a while offÂ
Wasnât the reason we only had 8 subs because Rvdb got injured in the warmup?
