Have yu been looking into the current info on stretching, they now say stretching before exercise doesnt do anything to prevent injury , and static stretching can reduce strength in the muscle by 20% during the following exercise. Also stretching after exercise is detrimental , stretchng a muscle which already has tears init due to the exercise is not good and doesnt reduce aching the next day . Flexibility Does reduce chances of injury however I think that's more for workouts in the gym ie bodybuilders
