That's a nice comparison, Bangura seems to have played in a pretty god awful team too so hopefully some of these creative stats would increase if he was in a more dominant team. Having said that players from the Eridivisie always seem to be a bit of a gamble, it's a slow and possession based league. Can be hard for some players to transition to Championship football that's played physically and at 100mph.

25 of those key passes were from Set Pieces though, so those should be replaced by other players. He had a similar chances created to McGree and Jones without those set pieces. Again that's from left back so we definitely need to find that extra creativity from somewhere if we can't get Giles back. If we can spread that production out between one of the new wingers a new left back and right back then we may be more balanced.

It's a big deal if we can't find a decent LB. I'd actually prefer to spend money earmarked for a striker on a good left back and right back instead, they're pivotal in modern football.

I just can't see a world where we're a more attractive destination than a prem team where he'll be the main man.

Similar to what we've lost with Archer, if teams got too cute trying to press us high the ball over the top was always on to utilise Archer's pace.

If we're tight on money this could also mean we're keeping Chuba on the books as without his sale we've probably got a 15m hole in the budget, if this conjecture could help settle some people's nerves.

We don't know that Giles has just chose Luton because they're in the prem though. All transfer tidbits are appreciated but you can't take anything as gospel.

If you look at percentage of passes that are long passes: Barlaser was 7.2% at Rotherham and Hackney was 3.4%. But I think that's more to do with the team he was playing with though as he came down to about 3.9% of long balls whilst he was with us.

Giles also did take a fair few set pieces for those key passes (25) which will naturally go to a different player. But yes his creativity will be missed, hopefully that responsibility can be spread out among more players.
