Any update on tickets sold for this coming Saturday?
-
Please buy your tickets in advance as there is no pay on the day and this will not be change There is no official hard copy match day programmes any more, Although a City follower is doing unofficial programme TRAINS if your coming by train, please have your tickets issued to Parson Street as it helps us try and get a new train station nearer to Ashton Gate Trains from London or Birmingham direction arrive in good time for the 13:26 13:54 and 14:26 from Bristol temple meads to Parson Street It takes you two thirds of the way to the ground and walk the rest of the way Our most famous player,John Atyeo, has a statue by the club superstore between the corner of the Lansdown and South stand. The congestion zone has arrived which includes some areas around Ashton Gate, even the council don't like us. Check if your car is compliant HERE www.bristol.gov.uk/residents/streets-travel/bristols-caz/charges-and-vehicle-checker Coming by road. Do NOT USE M4/M32 route and don't try to negotiate the roads and streets of Bristol If you are coming by road use M4/M5 southbound to junction 18(Avonmouth) then follow signs A4 Bristol airport It looks the long way round but its quicker. Parking is normally in the streets around the area as long as you are there by 13:00pm please don't block drive ways or park on corners. Casualty and Holby City were filmed in the City don't ask me about either of the programmes because I think their both rubbish The young ones was also filmed in the BS7 area of the City(actually its Bishopston) Finally the block of flats on the left behind the dolman stand side as you are in the away end is "the" block of flats in "fools and horses" Bring your camera and turn up early if you want to take any photo's Pubs not sure of which ones will be open, possibly best one are in the cumberland road basin area novia scotia pump house and the cottage. BBC Radio station is radio Bristol which has frequencies and 94:9 and DAB (and 95:5 up till 3pm), and the match commentary will be on BBC radio Bristol Please circulate to any other football forums and footy fans you may deem fit If you need any further info, don't be afraid to ask

RAIL STRIKES HAVE BEEN SUSPENDED Please buy your tickets in advance as there will be NO PAY ON THE DAY and this will NOT be changed There is no hard copy match day programmes any more, on line version available free of charge on the web site. generally availble by the Thursday. A hard copy can be purchased at a cost of five pounds, just ask for further info. With the game on Sky and also Talksport 2,hope as many of you can visit the gate before you leave us for the premiership Coming by road. Do NOT USE M4/M32 route and don't try to negotiate the roads and streets of Bristol YOU WILL GET LOST If you are coming by road use M4/M5 southbound to junction 18(Avonmouth) then follow signs A4 Bristol airport It looks the long way round but its quicker. Parking is normally in the streets around the area as long as you are there by 13:00am please don't block drive ways or park on corners. If you are coming by train there is a local train service to PARSON STREET from Bristol Temple Meads which leave at 25 minutes and 55 minutes past the hour. Good train times as most trains from the London direction as well the North arrive at quarter to the hour or quarter past the hour it takes you two thirds of the way to the ground and walk the rest of the way return Using PARSON STREET will save you having to negotiate the ticket gates at Bristol Temple meads as there are no ticket gates at Parson Street You will pass Sainsburys on the left with restaurant,Robins pub again on your left hand side When you approach the ground I suggest you walk past wickes using the pavement as the concourse area behind the big new stand gets very congested with bodies Please make sure you get your train ticket showing PARSON STREET We are trying to promote PARSON STREET for football fans till Ashton gate halt comes on line. Split train tickets are available to Bristol from the London area using didcot parkway a your split ticket option Group save tickets are available(one third off) on GWR trains but not cross country trains If there are at least three of you arriving by train get a taxi THERE IS NO RETURN SERVICE EVEN VIA LONDON so why not stay for he weekend in Bristol? Make sure the taxi driver drops you in the Ashton Road end as it a very long walk round from the other end or use the brown buses from the bottom of the incline of the station. Casualty and Holby City were filmed in the City don't ask me about either of the programmes cos I think their both rubbish The young ones was also filmed in the BS7 area of the City(actually its Bishopston) Finally the block of flats on the left behind the dolman stand side as you are in the away end is "the" block of flats in "fools and horses" Bring your camera and turn up early if you want to take any photo's Pubs possibly best one are in the cumberland road basin area novia scotia pump house and the cottage. Firstly thank you for using Parson Street,we will get our step free access station, one day. Weather forecast is not good,if you don't want to watch the lunch time football Suggest using Weatherspons right by Bristol temple meads If your on your own,and wanna watch the football I would suggest using the Robins. After the game, you can make Parson Street as long as you don't hang about -
